What to wear to Taylor Swift?

Going to Taylor Swift in June with my daughters. What shall I wear? I’m in my early 50s, size 12. The only thing I’m certain of is that I really want to wear cowboy boots!! Outfit ideas please - the only thing I really can’t wear I think is frills!

@Sonora25 I'm M4 so I guess it just depends how far the roof goes down.

WeirdButFuckingBeautiful · 07/06/2024 09:21

@Sonora25 I have ordered these to go under a long flouncy pink skirt. Hopefully arriving today as travelling up tomorrow

To everyone going to Taylor Swift hope you have a great time and the weather behaves itself !

ImPunbelievable · 07/06/2024 22:43

Is the roof open at all stadiums? I hadn't even considered this for my tickets to Wembley?!

HandsDown84 · 08/06/2024 09:49

I'm wearing this t shirt in white, black skinnies, glittery Converse and 1989 album covers as earrings! This is for Cardiff.

Pinkvici22 · 09/06/2024 16:31

Finally sorted out outfits -
DD Fearless - gold fringe dress, white and gold converse, white cowboy hat with gold edging
Me Lover - pink shorts suit, cowboy boots and an embellished corset top

Cannot wait!

Brackenfield · 09/06/2024 16:40

Wear the comfiest shoes you can. I was in very comfy trainers and I'm still in agony today 😅

Theedgeoftheabyss · 09/06/2024 17:50

Wear comfy shoes. Not boots or heels. Seriously. Wear layers as it's cold in there! I was there last night and had on a jumper and coat.

I’m so happy I started this thread despite all the misery guts at the beginning! Isn’t it fun to be part of such a phenomenon? I read reviews of the Edinburgh concert and they were amazing!! I decided on a white dress, denim jacket and insane colourful boots - hoping the weather cheers up in the next fortnight though or I’m going in jeans and a jumper!!

I am going next week and I cannot wait. So much joy this had already brought me and my DD, choosing outfits, making bracelets, discussing eras. I will wear a pink sequin dress and metallic leggings and fully embrace it all. I hope you have a brilliant time OP.

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 09/06/2024 20:05

Does anyone have any idea where I can get black sequin shorts from please?

That's not Shein or Temu.

I was at Edinburgh this weekend, absolutely fantastic!

To the pp who said early in the thread that it didn’t matter what you wore as no one would notice - honestly couldn’t be more wrong!

99% of people there were dressed up and looked amazing! The younger ones mainly sequins, the older ones a mix of things - lots of Red slogan t -shirts, lots of long floaty dresses, some sparkly blazers. Lots of white or silver cowboy boots.

Definitely take layers for later though, it got really cold.

It was a great night and I hope everyone still to go also has a great time!

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 10/06/2024 07:08

We are Liverpool N3 so 5 days now. Tickets finally came through last night.

We are travelling up Friday night so planning to get merch then and also Taylorgate in Stanley park depending if we can - mixed reports of it being closed or police turning people away.

Me and the oldest in converse so they will be comfy. Youngest in cowboy boots (that she's only worn for half an hour!) with sliders as backup.

Not sure on coats yet. Oldest has folklore cardi so she will be fine. Youngest doesn't really have anything that matches her dress so not sure what she will go for.

whenemmafallsinlove · 10/06/2024 13:32

Comfortable shoes are essential. I had good sandals which were fine. And painted my toenails in the album colours. My daughters wore converse and trainers but we swapped the laces for glittery ones.

Also earplugs are good - it's LOUD. Boots have some we thought were good, called alpine party I think.

If they're wanting to avoid Shein/Temu then Cider is just as bad...

Sonora25 · 11/06/2024 17:54

Sorry i didn’t know

@Brackenfield

really ? I have just cut and pasted the below from the website:

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 11/06/2024 20:54

can I ask:

if the Sat night concert at Wembley starts at 7 pm ?
and the doors open at 5 pm ?

when are people actually arriving ?

as dd doesn't actually want to be hanging around for hours, she does have seated rather than standing ticket/s.

thank you

WeirdButFuckingBeautiful · 11/06/2024 22:12

@OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon
We had seating tix at Murrayfield. Arrived at 17:15 and got straight through the turnstile, no queue at all. From the city centre there was a steady steam of people heading to Murrayfield from about lunchtime, I assume those with standing tix were arriving first. And stopping at the many pubs on the way no doubt. There was a 40 minute queue for merch so if you want to see the support and get merch then need to factor that in. The merch queues were busy all night so don’t assume they will quieten down later. The drinks queues were short when we arrived and subsequently. That’s not say it wasn’t busier earlier but based on our experience you don’t need to be mega early if you have seated tix, having said that the atmosphere was fab so the earlier you are the more you can soak up.
