Skincare help! Small bumps over forehead etc

Jessie1995 · 29/02/2024 12:32

Hi everyone,
I have these skin coloured small bumps on forehead and cheeks/temples. They never come to a head. Had them for a while and can’t shift them! I have a wedding coming up and my own wedding end of the year and really want it gone or reduced even!

I use:
cerave hydrating cleanser
the ordinary moisturiser
the ordinary azelic acid or Paula’s choice BHA

I did wonder if it was fungal so have been using nizoral for a week and don’t see any improvement but it’s only been a week so not sure if to carry on!

any advice would be amazing on what it may be/ what I could use if anybody’s had this before!

Have you had your cholesterol tested as that can cause bumps under the skin, usually they're yellow though.

Looks like what you're using isn't agreeing with your skin . Maybe stop using everything for a week or so and see if it improves.

And under the eyes normally.

Retinol might help this. I use the ordinary and it made my skin like glass and sorted out some pores by my mouth.

Thank you I have some retinol but people say you purge from it first and my friends wedding is next week. My wedding is in September so maybe after my friends next week until September I’ll give it ago!
my skin feels so bad at the minute I’m so self conscious :(

Have you spoken to your doctor or seen a dermatologist.

Yes I think you need to speak to a doctor. Have you tried Dermatica? They might be able to prescribe something or direct you appropriately.

It could be fungal which would need treatment.

I would check with your GP but when my DD had something like this on her forehead, the GP prescribed Azelaic acid 15% gel, twice daily for that. He also prescribed DUAC for the rest of her face. It did clear up. DD was 14 at the time but these spots had occurred after a viral infection and just wouldn’t shift.

This looks like fungal acne and i was going to recommend Nizoral because thats what i used on my forehead but mine cleared up in a week.

Did you recently start using those products or have you always been using them? Me personally I hate ordinary i broke out really badly but if theyre your usual go to's then that wont be the case.

Have you changed anything recently, not just skincare wise? I‘ve had a similar reaction after sleeping on down pillows.
