Same age as you OP and I love the first two.

Not sure on the 3rd one, I think it's because it's a bit sheer that I'm not so keen on that one.

LauderSyme · 27/02/2024 16:54

I am a similar age and size to you. I like the shapes of the skirts but don't love the prints, but if I had already bought them I'd keep them and wear them. They're fine for work!

Picoloangel · 27/02/2024 16:55

I really like the first two. I really like a pleated skirt. So versatile. I would keep them!

Sususudio · 27/02/2024 17:28

I don't think they are teachery any more, as I see quite hip young things wearing them.

nononocontact · 27/02/2024 17:47

These look perfect for work - dressy but comfortable, and you can throw on in the morning! I would keep.

CharlotteBog · 27/02/2024 18:36

I love the first 2. I am tall and this style looks good on me. I love a pleat!

StaunchMomma · 27/02/2024 18:46

I like them. They could be 'clingy' with the polystyrene so maybe buy some Bounce sheets, or similar?

Can we please stop with the age thing, though? Your age is completely irrelevant.

Nobody will convince me Iris Apfel isn't one of the most fabulously dressed women on the planet and, at 102, she gives zero fucks about how she's 'supposed' to dress for her age.

Like the skirt, wear the skirt!

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 27/02/2024 19:27

FinallyFeb · 27/02/2024 16:46

How about keeping just one as they are quite similar?

That’s my current thinking but which one?!

OP posts:
BakewellFart · 27/02/2024 19:28

I really like the first one but it wouldn’t suit my shape at all. I think it’s lovely.

Thanks for the comment! I love Iris Apfel, maybe not as much as I should, but her chutzpah and style has to be admired!

I just got put off by mostly older women writing reviews!

I love the first 2. I am tall and this style looks good on me. I love a pleat!

I’m 5 ft 5 but people often think I’m taller for some reason!

OP posts:
Imfreetofeelgood · 27/02/2024 20:59

I like the first, but the second is very old lady print.

falalalalalalalallama · 27/02/2024 21:02

I like the first one but not the second, it looks very old fashioned.

Whycantiwinmillionsandsquillions · 27/02/2024 21:08

I like the first 2, very nice for work. I’m not keen on the 3rd one. It looks more of a holiday skirt. Something I’d wear to cover up when I needed to go for lunch.

Picoloangel · 27/02/2024 21:14

Reader I’ve ordered the second one!

Channellingsophistication · 27/02/2024 21:19

I really like both and looked at them last week but looked too long for me as i’m only 5ft2.

What footwear would you wear with them OP?

FedUpMumof10YO · 27/02/2024 21:21

Bloody gorgeous. Keep them and wear them in and out of the office.

starfishmummy · 27/02/2024 23:48

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 27/02/2024 14:22

No pockets!

Oh no to the no pockets situation. I used to buy work cardigans from there as they nearly always had pockets but the current crop are distinctly lacking in pockets!

DancingOnMoonbeams · 28/02/2024 00:03

I like both the first two but not the navy one.

Are they both the same length? The green one seems particularly long, the reviews have commented on this.

ShrubRose · 28/02/2024 02:49

I like the look of the second one - it's smarter, and I think it would be more flattering than the first one. Not crazy about the navy one.

Mummyoflittledragon · 28/02/2024 04:18

The plain navy one looks casual, the first two more formal. It’s sheer and the pleating is random rather than uniform.

Mummyoflittledragon · 28/02/2024 04:19

Meant to say, I am your age and I think they look fine for work.

OrderOfTheKookaburra · 28/02/2024 04:39

It depends, does your wardrobe veer to plain top, colourful bottoms or colourful top, plain bottoms?

I'm the second and so would have very little to wear them with.

But they are lovely.

MurielThrockmorton · 28/02/2024 06:19

I saw the second in a magazine, maybe the Sunday Times, a few weeks ago and I liked it then so I've just bought it now! The reviews do say it's quite long though, so at 5 foot 5 you might find it's too long for you.

hattie43 · 28/02/2024 06:31

I like them but not for spring / summer . Winter colours / prints to me
