What outer layer (coat) is stylish for mild winter?

What coat / jacket are you wearing at the moment? (London weather, generally been mild, mix of dry and showers).

It's not winter coat weather (too wet and mild) and my long down puffer is too hot so I've been reaching for a mid length thin men's puffer jacket I bought from Uniqlo as a back up option, but I don't feel very stylish!

I do wear a trench coat which I love but it's not practical for the days I'm shlepping around with preschooler as it's quite long and rigid.

What's a good on trend casual option for a mild winter? I wfh and part-time look after preschool child so it is going to be worn over casual clothes. Usually leggings, trainers & hoody / wide leg jeans, trainers, sweater / straight leg jeans, boots, jumper.

I’m wearing a navy French Connection weatherproof jacket I got in TK Maxx although I can’t find it now.

This from Oliver Bonas isn’t dissimilar

I have a cropped pea coat which keeps my top half warm but is less stifling than a long coat. It needs to be a few degrees warmer before I switch to a corduroy jacket.
