Jeans for pear shapes

I saw a woman wearing brown Dr Martin lace up boots and jeans turned up to just meet the top of the boots, loved the look and would like to try it.

Being a pear shape I've mainly stuck to wide leg jeans this year but fancy something straighter. I'm a size 14/16 and 5'4.

Can anyone recommend something suitable that fits a smaller waist and wider hips? I also have a fun new menopausal symptom of now having a bit of a tummy so some Jeans (Hush for example) can be tight on the tummy and gaping at the back.

I wonder if you saw me as I wear that style a lot, although not specifically Dr Martens, but that kind of platform boots. Anyway. I am 52, very short (5.2" on a good day), and size 10 (sometimes 12 from the waist down) pear shaped; my hips, bum and thighs are much bigger than the rest of me. The jeans that look best on me are Levi's 501 CT (customized and tapered). They're sort of mid-rise. High rise look awful on me.

Thank you for all your suggestions. I'm planning a shopping trip at the weekend to try all those brands.

I’m pear shaped with menopausal tum and wear the brown docs and turned up jeans! I really recommend Lands End jeans, those and M&S are my go to ones.
