More flattering alternative to a shacket for spring?

Love shackets on others but feel ridiculous on me. I think its because I'm short. They make my shoulders look really wide and my top half look square. But they look so useful to chuck on!

What are some good alternatives to chuck on through spring? What sort of casual spring jacket would you reach for?

A hoodie for me. Or a hoodie underneath a light jacket. I don't like most shackets on me - too boxy.

Agreed, utility jacket, there's different styles so more oversized/ boxy ones or less so, and the fabric makes a difference too. So try different styles what suits you!

I have a twill jacket that's more the shape of a slightly long denim jacket. Not super fashionable but much more flattering

I bought a military style jacket and a leather jacket ready for spring.

I have one with no chest pockets which I find more flattering. I would really like to find one in another grey or navy.
