If quite corporate office then no. If modern and trendy yes.

I like the dress, looks great with boots. The armholes look huge which means you’ll have to wear another top underneath if you don’t want to show your bra / upper body when you raise your arms etc.

Not sure it would work with flats

LivingDeadGirlUK · 25/02/2024 13:31

I really like it!

Great thanks. I think I would get away with it on the more relaxed days then. Perhaps with Ankle boots

Nice dress, not for a work day in a corporate office.

RicStar · 25/02/2024 15:39

I like it and I could wear this to my office, although it would be a bit over-dressed but it's definitely not corporate.

Same here. Used to work in a more traditional corporate office and this wouldn't have been acceptable there. It would be ok in my current office but then would look over dressed as people dress in a more relaxed way in general there.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 25/02/2024 16:14

It's fine. Wear with a jacket if necessary. You'll be a darn sight smarter than a lot of other people.

Theraffarian · 25/02/2024 16:23

The arm holes would be an issue unless you are wearing something underneath it I think , otherwise you are going to be flashing your underwear all day .It’s a lovely dress other than that though .

fiorentina · 25/02/2024 16:24

It’s very nice. I’d only wear on a Friday to the office though I think.

smearymirror · 25/02/2024 16:25

I work in Media and it would be fine there. I used to work in Corporate Finance and I wouldn't have got away with it then. Lovely dress though.

Verite1 · 25/02/2024 16:31

I love it (might look at it myself) but I wouldn’t have said suitable for corporate office

BreakfastAtMimis · 25/02/2024 16:33

In my office we'd all be a bit WTF if you rocked up looking like you were dressed in a bin bag.

yourlobster · 25/02/2024 16:35

It's nice but I hate it with the boots. I just don't think that length of boot is flattering with most things tbh.

Whether it's office appropriate would very much depend on the industry but it's not really corporate wear without a jacket I don't think.

Yes no to the boots.

I wouldn't be looking like I'd dressed in a bin bag, I'd be in the dress pictured.

What do you mean by "corporate".

I don't see any issue with wearing that to an office. I'm private client, non legal aid law firm.

measureofmydreams · 25/02/2024 17:59

I work in a professional services London firm - post Covid it would be fine any day of the week. I'd choose to wear it with knee high boots and then I'd have to think about the warmer weather..... I think it shows a bit of personality, I like it.

Ilovemyshed · 25/02/2024 18:00

Traditional corporate offices have changed massively. I would say its fine.

I agree. I really don't understand the it's not corporate without a jacket comments.

A twatty response!
I love that dress @tomago I have no idea about corporate wear though.

I'm not sure that all posters have either.

Littlebelina · 25/02/2024 21:19

I think it would be fine as well. Really like it

yourlobster · 25/02/2024 21:55

@IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle people have asked for more information about the workplace. It's clear from the thread there's a lot of varied opinions. Doesn't mean anyone is wrong or clueless.
