Does Monsoon run large or small?

I'm a 14-16.

Dress comes in M (12-14) or L (16-18).

It's pull on style, no zips and has a shirred panel at the back. My boobs are proportionate to my figure.

Should I risk the M?

I find they run big.

I'm massive and find the Ls in monsoon too large. It's the only place I can take a medium.

Go for the M. I'm a 12-14 and find M a generous fit. Often wonder if I should have gone for S!

Thanks so much all. I was leaning towards the M but needed a second opinion! Been years since I've bought anything in Monsoon.

I think they run on the big side but I had a couple of dresses that were weirdly tight on top and then huge on arms and waist - if it's possible perhaps buy both sizes and return the illl fitting one (assume it's free returns still ?)
