Dress vs jumpsuit for size 20ish, party guest in london

I have a party to go to tomorrow in London. I can't decide what to wear - due to weather, I think it needs to be something darkish which I'll wear with black boots and a navy wool coat (with an umbrella)!

I'm between this jumpsuit from Joanie:

And this dress from Toast.

I think the jumpsuit looks nicer on fwiw.

It’s difficult to advise without seeing them on, but I think the jump suit looks fun and pretty.

Jumpsuit more says Friday night

MissandeiofNaath · 22/02/2024 19:33

My vote is for the dress.

I love the jumpsuit!

DancingLikeARobotFrom1984 · 22/02/2024 19:35

Jumpsuit is way more flattering on, so really just need to know which one is more appropriate for party on Friday night. I'm leaning towards jumpsuit

Both would be equallly appropriate.

Lisarinnaslipss · 22/02/2024 19:38

Jumpsuit without a doubt. It's gorgeous!

DancingLikeARobotFrom1984 · 22/02/2024 19:42

Ah thanks all! I think most people prefer the jumpsuit for a party and I do too. I also love the Toast dress fwiw. Will wear the jumpsuit 🎉 🥂 🌟 (I'm excited to be going out if you can't tell)

Jumpsuit, I'm a similar size and have a similar jumpsuit. Just a pain when going for a pee though.

BebbanburgIsMine · 22/02/2024 19:46

I prefer the dress, but that's only because I don't like jumpsuits or trousers.

But the jumpsuit pattern is nicer.

True @Edinvillian - need to remember that tomorrow

I have a 40th party to go to Saturday night. I was undecided whether to go but have now decided to go! Will be wearing a long black dress and some bling jewellery. Have left it too late to get my hair cut and coloured as I like to give it a few weeks to settle. Should I get an occasion blow dry done at a salon then curl it myself before going? would you suggest getting my make up done professionally and strip lashes? It's a bit of a party where I need to make an effort as it's also a networking event. Or should I just go in regular make up with a bit of extra effort and fake tan?

That sounds like a nice outfit @Fitdayking. I'm not doing anything like professional blow-dry or anything. Just normsl makeup and home blow-dry for me! Mainly because it will only get ruined in the rain. If I didn't have to walk anywhere I might

Oh I'm so sorry I thought I had created a new post but instead I hijacked yours. So sorry!

Both are lovely, but I too would wear the jumpsuit.

Hope you have a great night!
