Looking for shorts

We go to Disney in May, so I need some shorts, but I can't seem to find any that would suit a 40year old woman!

All I can seem to find is cycling shorts, or ridiculously mini shorts. I want something ideally that's fairly loose and flowy (preferably with pockets) that I guess would need a 6-8in inseam.

But I'm really struggling. There's so much dropshipping going on, that i go to a website and get bombarded with other brands (matalan and Dorothy perkins, I'm looking at you!)

The last couple of years M&S have done cargo shorts which are a bit longer, lots of pockets. Their Tencel fabric so soft and comfy. I'm hoping they'll be back soon.

I just don't know where to look these days. I've seen a few I like on Cider, but I'm just not sure I want to buy from a brand I don't necessarily trust

Lands End usually have a decent range of shorts all year round.

Thanks. I'm short - 5ft 3 but my length is in my legs, my torso is very short. I'm also a size 14-16, so an hourglass figure.

I just find that the shorts I'm seeing are far too clingy or too short (ironically!)

Ideally, I want something mid thigh-knee length

Try the men's department of any decent store, and sports stores also.

That's where I go for jackets, gilets and shorts. Long legs and arms, pity about the middle bit of my body though lol!

These are knee length but the boy short are actually really flattering with a vest or t shirt if you are hourglass

If the knee shorts are too long then the boy short may be better as you can unroll the turn ups so they are mid thigh

I find paper bag styles very flattering on me ( I'm hourglass but shorter and size 10) .

H and M are great for linen mid thigh paper bag shorts but it may be a bit early for them
