My jowls have actually improved

I've been struggling with jowls and they are hard to improve but they are a lot better (more visible in real life
than the pics below)

Thought that this might help someone ….

Photograph on top taken 8 December and second taken 17 Feb. Not sure that they do justice to how much my 52 year old jowls and lips have improved. Those close to me have noticed! Sorry for the dry lips.

Myolift mini (microcurrent) - 3 -4 times per week
Ziip halo - 2-3 times a week
(So a couple of days off a week)

I wasn’t really seeing a difference and about 5 weeks ago until I introduced:

Mojia Boost (mask hack 20 mins 5 times a week with Copper peptides)
Facial massage on YT (Aynsel?)
RF once a week for only a few mins (Beautiva Ace)

I do think it takes an arsenal not just one thing.

I did do red light but it made no difference and gave up a few weeks ago.

The only familiar term to me in your post was face massage! Haven't heard of any of the other gadgets.😀 Good result, but I honestly don't think you looked that jowly before either.

I have jowls too. I am completely against fillers and facelifts, but I think I probably won't have the patience to do all this either. Might just live with them.

My issue with fillers is this - as we age our fat pads sink down our face. So what we want to do is tighten rather than add more volume.

I also have an issue with the narrative they only last a year or so. They last a lot longer - years and years. So that’s how people look strange. They keep going back for more when they still have a shit ton of filler in their faces.

I had my naso whatsit lines filled 20 years ago. The results were instant, they never came back and I can still just about feel the filler in there if I press hard enough.

CharlotteRumpling · 22/02/2024 07:58

When you say an arsenal, am I right in saying that you have used 5 microcurrent type gadgets on your face? I had to Google those. Isn't there one that does everything?

OkayKinkade · 22/02/2024 07:59

As for the op, that is a cracking improvement. Jowls are so hard to improve but you've worked wonders there.

Fillers can get rid of jowls??

Op, photos look great, noticeably different.

Yes. You put filler in the mid face and that in turn shores up the jowls a bit.

Yes the journalist Alice HartDavies recently did an article on this. She had an MRI and still has filler from about 15 years ago I think. Which is good if it’s placed correctly- it lasts and lasts. The problem is when people think it’s worn off or (and this is the industry’s fault) are told they need ‘top ups’ every year to 18 months. Just not true

For all my dissing of filler I did have tear trough filler in 2021 - it did look good and it’s still there now 3 years later. I just wouldn’t add volume to my cheeks now that the fat pads are sinking. Fillers can’t lift the skin. They replace lost volume.

Great results! I'm trying to see if I can replicate your routine but I'm confused (it's not hard to confuse me!) Your original post said Myolift Boost but in a further post you said it was Nokia Boost not Myolift. I can find anything for Nokia Boost-can you link this?

marshmallowhearts · 22/02/2024 11:03

If someone could only get one device, would you recommend the ziip halo or the myolift mini?

I think it was supposed to be mojia boost

RandomnMe · 22/02/2024 22:37

@CharlotteRumpling
the Ziip and Myolift mini are microcurrent the others aren’t. I did a lot of research! No there isn’t one thing that does everything. I meant it about an arsenal! Sadly 😩

Myolift mini but only if you are prepared to use it a few times a week for about 50 mins! Better results than the Ziip but that’s also good.

Thank you!

Its the Myolift mini available on Amazon.

the mojia website is here https://mojiaaustralia.com/ this is for the boost which was excellent. They ship to the UK and are great. You could get a microcurrent device from here too (I’ve just bought their lift)

That is a big difference. Would this work on Turkey neck? Under the chin?

pharmachameleon · 23/02/2024 09:10

Thanks @RandomnMe. I currently have a NuFace microcurrent device so this thread has given me the impetus to use it more often and for longer!

Also62 · 23/02/2024 22:21

Can anyone tell me - What is 'RF once a week?'

Delatron · 23/02/2024 22:44

RF = radio frequency

Also62 · 23/02/2024 23:51

Thanks @Delatron 👍

magentacloud · 24/02/2024 00:32

I do think it takes an arsenal not just one thing.

That's a lovely result, but really you could have achieved much the same in the same amount of time (and for free) by doing some simple jowl exercises.

Hoppitybobbins · 24/02/2024 08:11

@magentacloud has exercising worked for you and what kind of results have you got?

nevertrustanyoneagain · 24/02/2024 08:37

Has anyone had success with a skincare product? Not sure I could motivate myself during severe depression to do anything more than slap a cream on 🫤

This is pretty much where I’m at, I haven’t got the money or patience for expensive gadgets sadly.

might try the massage though.
You look great OP!

I was wondering this too! Some are very expensive, although not that much more than Botox.
Basically I'd like to know, which on of those electronic thingies is best?

I thought they weren’t great? The person Eva whatshername who did them.

foxychox · 24/02/2024 11:21

Great results OP!! You have put the work in and are seeing the results. I wondered if you ever considered ultherapy or Morpheus8? I've been considering this route, prices seem to be coming down a bit...
