My jowls have actually improved

RandomnMe · 20/02/2024 19:19

I've been struggling with jowls and they are hard to improve but they are a lot better (more visible in real life
than the pics below)

Thought that this might help someone ….

Photograph on top taken 8 December and second taken 17 Feb. Not sure that they do justice to how much my 52 year old jowls and lips have improved. Those close to me have noticed! Sorry for the dry lips.

Myolift mini (microcurrent) - 3 -4 times per week
Ziip halo - 2-3 times a week
(So a couple of days off a week)

I wasn’t really seeing a difference and about 5 weeks ago until I introduced:

Mojia Boost (mask hack 20 mins 5 times a week with Copper peptides)
Facial massage on YT (Aynsel?)
RF once a week for only a few mins (Beautiva Ace)

I do think it takes an arsenal not just one thing.

I did do red light but it made no difference and gave up a few weeks ago.

Even the multi millionaire celebrities who must have access to the best doctors look horribly puffy and totally unnatural when they've used fillers, see Madonna for example. Fillers have now been found to last much much longer in the body than previously thought, possibly decades. OP, you can really see a great difference in your facial profile.

@HemlockSoup

when they are done right they look nothing like that!

in fact you would never know someone had fillers if done by someone who knows what they’re doing

in ops case they’d definitely make a healthy difference

In that case, why is it so obvious that Hollywood stars have all had fillers, given that they can afford the very best?

Genuine question - I would love to believe that fillers are genuinely undetectable. What I think really happens is that the person getting the fillers stops seeing that they make them look weird.

MamaToABeautifulBoy · 20/02/2024 22:08

Can I ask you, OP, to let us have the regime you recommend to achieve the amazing results you have kindly shown us here? I know you have mentioned some devices but it would be so helpful if you wouldn’t mind summarising what you recommend to get such great results. You have inspired me to go down the natural path instead of getting filler.

Quitelikeit · 20/02/2024 22:12

Google

facial fillers near me

youll turn up lots of results

ideally have them done by a dentist or GP

PammieDooveOrangeJoof · 20/02/2024 22:16

You look great! Thanks for sharing OP.

itsnothingoriginal · 20/02/2024 22:23

I think you look great OP! Really noticeable difference.

I've just had dermal fillers as I'm younger than you and I was becoming incredibly depressed about how much my face and jowls are sagging. Absolutely nobody else has noticed but I have a definite improvement in my jaw area. It can be done subtly and just provide that slight lift.

StellaGibson2022 · 20/02/2024 23:00

That is an amazing result.

I would be interested in your regime if you have time to post it

Brightandbubly · 20/02/2024 23:21

Bloody amazing

Brightandbubly · 20/02/2024 23:22

You don’t need fillers it just goes to show

That looks bloody great! I bet you feel amazing OP xxx

dont know why that meme is there ???

Lavenderandbrown · 21/02/2024 03:17

You look great op. What a difference! I wouldn’t even consider fillers with the results you are achieving with your current routine.

ShangPie · 21/02/2024 08:00

great results OP!

Can I ask where you got the Myolift gadget from? Might be one for my birthday list!

AndThatWasNY · 21/02/2024 08:08

OP really noticeable. Gorgeous lips too!
That said it has made me settle into my jowls and go with it

There is absolutely no way I have time or motivation to do all that and keep it up. I just about cleanse and moisturise.
So thank you for letting it be on if those things I accept.

Silverfoxette · 21/02/2024 08:39

That’s so great! I love to see natural remedies, like yourself I’m a little wary of injecting stuff into my face, I can’t even dye my hair anymore with allergies. I have a NuFace but getting time to use it in the morning is an issue for me, I need to make time. I will look into your other devices though and am now following the massage therapist on YT

thanks ☺️

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 21/02/2024 09:47

Wow that's a really big difference already and after only a couple of months! Definitely keep it up!

Jowls are my major worry, I have really good skin and don't have much of a problem with lines or wrinkles (I use retinol) but the jowls scare me 😱the idea of botox and/or fillers scares me even more!! I think I'd consider a facelift before I'd go down the filler route, but what you're doing could be a great option for me until I'm ready to face surgery! Thank you for posting and well done for sticking to your routine (which I know is where I'd fall down)

That is an amazing result.

thank you! Yes I’m very pleased! 😁

5 nights a week on a clean face I do the microcurrent using the Myolift mini when I have about 40 mins available, the Ziip if less time (12 mins)

20 mins using the Myolift boost (also some electrical device) using the mask hack over copper peptides by Medick8. Expensive but good. I lay down and look at my phone. Mojis are an Australian company who have loads of electrical devices which are soo much cheaper and great service.

Then I do about 20 min facial massage with oil.

once a week I use for a few minutes radio frequency …

i will leave it all on over night.

Yes massage made a BIG difference - I couldn’t believe how much as the microcurrent didn’t do much initially….

great results OP!

Can I ask where you got the Myolift gadget from? Might be one for my birthday list!

I got it from Amazon albeit CurrentBody sell it. I think it’s the manufacturer who sell it on Amazon.

i follow an instructional video by Trina Albus. Watch it before buying…. It’s a lot to do but I’ve memorised it now and can watch tv whilst I do it ☺️

and thank you 😌

Fillers can be great but it depends what you are trying to do. I would argue that sagging jowls on an aging face (sorry OP nothing personal!) don't benefit from fillers. The options people try are
A) fill in the cheeks to attempt to lift the sagging tissue. This can result in an over filled face overall as the issue is not loss of volume but volume displaced lower down. So now you have fullness where the tissue dropped and fullness where you placed filler. You end up with a big face.
B) filler under the dents created by the jowls and behind jaw to create a sharper jawline and stretch out jowls. But this places even more fullness where you already have too much fullness from the sagging tissue. Low down at the bottom of the face.

As we age our faces drop. They go from full up high and defined jaw to sagging where the tissue is now low down. The last thing you want to do is add any more fullness at the bottom.

You can see examples if the masculinisation of the face that occurs when the lower part is made bigger. These are obviously extreme examples but even in s amounts, there is this masculinisation that happens

@Quitelikeit of course you can tell fillers (even when they are done well by an experienced professional). It's not a judgment!

Sweetnessandbite · 21/02/2024 23:53

Random, amazing results! I would love another follow up in 2 months or so if you have time.

You look more youthful but all in a natural healthier way. Enjoy the flirting and do it more 😉

JMAngel1 · 22/02/2024 04:33

You look amazing - really noticeable difference.
I’m going to look into the RF device.

I’ve had good results from Nu Face, LED mask, massage and microneedling with myriad of topicals.
I have been following GlowUpWithShelley on YT who has some amazing before and after results for her jowls - no fillers. I too think fillers in the jaw makes an already sagging face look too heavy - it probably depends on a person’s forehead shape and whether it is strong enough to take the added structure below.

LadyWithLapdog · 22/02/2024 05:30

Great dedication but also great results!
