It's Oasis. So you can't wash it and you cant dry clean it. What do you do, smell or throw it away?

Isn't it just hand wash only then?
Do not wash means don't use in a washing machine doesn't it?

I'd just hand wash it personally. If it's unusable because it's dirty or smelly, you're not losing anything by trying to wash it

It's very heavily sequinned. I'm trying to post a picture but it's saying the image is too big, probably because it's so shiny. I'll try and hand wash, yes.

Could you try to sponge it clean - I’d try to avoid soaking it in water I think.

Can you show a picture of the top. Some manufacturers do this to avoid returns and testing . It's probably absolutely fine to be washed . Is it polyester?

It's polyester covered in sequins. The picture is too big so I can't post.

Not all clothes need to be washed to the extent that some posters on here think.

I would turn it inside out, spray the inside with one of these products and gently sponge, using a hand washing product dissolved in tepid water, if you have one or, baby shampoo, around the neck and armholes.

Anti- bacterial clothes sprays.

I have a sequin top - also 100% polyester.
the label says hand wash cold water only with the caveat that you are likely to lose embellishments during washing.

ive hand washed it successfully. I don’t rub or agitate it too much. And don’t squeeze or wring it out. Slop it onto a couple of towels laid on top of each other. Roll it up to get out he excess water.

the don’t dry clean is because the chemicals would melt the plastic sequins

And wear a vest under it. Seriously. Call it a camisole if it makes you feel better. M&S have loads of options in cotton and the material their slips are made of.

Buy them in the thinnest material you can find at least 2 sizes smaller than your usual size. It's just to create a layer between your skin and the top so "too tight" is fine.

@saveforthat yes it will be fine to wash . Is it from a boutique ? They often buy stuff from china and mark it up and it doesn't go through the same controls that stuff in say marks and Spencer's does .

Turn it inside out and hand wash it . Make sure you spin it or squeeze it out well and lay it flat near heat to dry
