Boden long chunky cardis - why so many left?

Am I missing something - have ordered but realised that there are plenty left in the navy and the turquoise. Why is this when they are really nice colours? Not hotch potchy or anything

Have also ordered a 'sassy' jersey dress and some nice yellow corduroys and a stripey yellow and burgundy cardi as well.

I have been going Boden mad tonite

Half of it will prob go back.

I love love love my long boden cardi - it's like being wrapped in a big blanky ! Enjoy !

Bluestocking · 23/03/2008 20:21

That cardigan is hideous, that's why there are so many left.

fryalot · 23/03/2008 20:21

I waaaaaaant one

Flight · 23/03/2008 20:23

Squonk here, jump in...that's it - nice and cosy in that pocket now, are you pet?

Good.

Bluestocking, why is it hideous? or are you talking about the stripey one, because I'm not totally convinced on that one yet but it was all they had left!

they do have pockets, right?

3NAB · 23/03/2008 20:27

i need a navy cardi.....

expatinscotland · 23/03/2008 20:27

because they make you look like a walking shag carpet.

Bluestocking · 23/03/2008 20:29

Well, where do you want me to start? You will look as if you are wrapped up in a big blanky (to use Tomps's phrase) which isn't a look I go for. It has horrible big ribbing, and nasty plastic toggles. It will get a massive baggy seat, if you ever sit down in it, and I bet it bobbles like a bastard. And they're not fashionable any more, which doesn't necessary matter, but they're not a classic either.

God I'd better check

Otherwise I shall have problems stashing my lickle squonk.

Expat I might take that as a compliment. I don't mind being thought of as a walking shag-something, anyway

It will have to go back or nobody on mN will speak to me. Except my ever faithful little pet

OP posts:
Flight · 23/03/2008 20:34

Hmm it is a bit like a carpet...

How about the yellow trousers? Are they any cop?

OP posts:
Bluestocking · 23/03/2008 20:37

Not having seen your legs, Flight, I can't really say. If you have thighs like Uma Thurman those yellow cords might be OK.

Flight · 23/03/2008 20:39

I can CAT you my legs blue

No on second thoughts...that would be creepy.

nkf · 23/03/2008 20:40

Link please to these cardis.

fryalot · 23/03/2008 20:41

and while you're linking, you'd best show us the yellow trousers as well

Bluestocking · 23/03/2008 20:41

No, please, no legs in my inbox! I think on women with normal (ie not Uma Thurman) legs, darker coloured trousers are more pleasing to the eye.

Flight · 24/03/2008 07:37

Cardis

Trousies

There you go. I'm not linking to the other one because I KNOW you'll all say it looks like someone was sick on it!

OP posts:
fryalot · 24/03/2008 07:41

cardie looks nice and warm.

But take me out of the pocket before you go skiing - I'll stay by the fire in the lodge

Trousies also nice, but not sure about the yellow-ness of them.

Flight · 24/03/2008 07:45

Oh thankyou That was quick!

Yes not entirely convinced by yellowness myself but for £17 I'm not being fussy!

Could always dye them I suppose anyway.

For the record, not quite Uma level here but I am back to my 9st after 9 months so that is better than it was! I'm 5ft 7 (ish)

OP posts:
fryalot · 24/03/2008 07:50

wow! sounds quite Uma-ish to me.

I'm more Dawn French than Uma

Flight · 24/03/2008 07:54

Nooooo certainly not Uma, she is something like 6ft 2 isn;t she, and 7 stone.

I like Dawn French.

fryalot · 24/03/2008 07:55

you'll have to put a pic on your profile when your new clothes arrive, and we can all be judgey judgey

I have never bought any Boden stuff in my life - is it good?

Flight · 24/03/2008 08:03

I've only got one thing and it's fab (coat) it was about 30 quid so that's Ok. Ooh tell a lie, I've a few bits off ebay. Yes, nice quality, it gets slated on here now for going downhill but it's nice as far as i can tell

I'm used to topshop so, well...
