Hairy moles on face

My teenage son has two biggish slightly raised brown moles on his cheek which have started to sprout hairs. He is understandably self conscious about them. Is there a safe way to have them removed? I always assumed not. If he can’t remove them, is it safe to shave or pluck the hair? I have googled but wouldn’t mind someone’s personal experience!

What are you on about

Why would you presume it's not safe to remove a mole

Just see your GP and get referred for them to be removed

Hopefully they'll be removed for free as some kind of biopsy

Or

You might have to pay but dig deep and fork out for your sons well being and dignity

If you pay to have them removed make sure it includes a biopsy.

I pluck hairs out a mole on my face.

My GP removed my mole which had hairs growing from it.

It just made me 🤮🤢 having to look at it every day in the mirror

I can't believe I didn't remove it sooner and how bloody quick and easy it was
