Petite black trousers for work

I am my own boss but would describe the look I'm going for as smart casual.
Maybe a similar vibe to that of a teacher or a therapist. I want to be well presented and taken seriously by my professional clients but don't want to look too starchy.

Anyway, I'd like some petite black trousers, open to either smarter jeans or trousers. I am very pear shaped, so I'm unsure how bootcut or wide legged shapes would suit me? Happy to hear feedback on that and open to all recommendations.

I think you can't go wrong with Chino style trousers. You can make them look slightly dressier with a smart top, and they are very versatile. Hope this helps.

These are wonderful when they are actually stocked:https://www.marksandspencer.com/wide-leg-trousers/p/clp60506507?color=BLACK#intid=pid_pg1pip48g2r1c2|prodflag_submsg-Also%20available%20in%20petite

I'm petite and never thought I could wear wide leg, but they suit me really well.

A Mumsnetter recommended them - whoever you are, thank you!

I'm not sure how to link, but h&m cigarette trousers, £17.99. I'm a very short arse 5 foot 4 and they fit well.

I prefer shorter (above/on the ankle) than wide leg and boot cut.
Next do great petite chinos and straight leg trousers.
Both then work with smart flat shoes, heels or smart plain white trainers.

To add, I'm 5'1 .

Ive bought black and navy in the wide leg that a poster has linked above. Im 5ft3 and the short is ideal

Also got the straight leg in navy and black too ftom m&s.

Really like m&s for trouser but im now a short in them instead of regular like i used to be.
