Foundation recommendations

I’ve been wearing the Boots Hydraluminous foundation for a number of years. I thought it was good but I’ve just realised that after a couple of hours I don’t look like I’m wearing anything at all. Just had a photo taken and I look completely bare faced. It also seems to transfer onto clothes much more easily than it used to.

I like a relatively natural finish, I don’t like wearing a heavy foundation or anything full of junk and perfumes,, but if I’m spending money on something I want to look better than the slightly uneven, blotchy natural faced version of myself 😆

Can anyone recommend anything? I was using Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser before the Hydraluminous, and also tried Nars but I feel like they were the same sort of finish so not worth the extra ££.

Photos always make makeup look lesser than it looks irl. This is why makeup for photography is so heavy.

I wouldn't worry unless much of your life is photographed.

There are so many luminous sheer foundations out there I couldn't even start to suggest one. Go to a big boots or dept store and just do the rounds

I swapped from Hydraluminois for erborian CC crème and no regrets!

It's a more no make up look. I wear that, blush, eyeliner, mascara and brows. Done!
