The most casual daily coat of these coats?

I like the green one but also the brown one and bit of blue too.
I want it casual ( no smart) to throw it on when I run out of the door ( in jeans /converse)
It can be only these coats as have a gift card to use and they seem to be selling out fast plus I like the style & hoping it’s not too old fashioned either.

Do you tend to choose bright colours and enjoy wearing them? The brown seems like a completely different vibe to me- more classic and elegant. Is that you?

Do you have shoes, bag, scarf you like to wear that would suit one or the other? The green coat looks fab with the pink scarf for example.

kintra · 15/02/2024 09:02

They're all the same coat? The green one looks most casual because of how it's been styled. For me the brown would be most versatile, but it probably is the smartest of the three because it's a neutral. Tbh none of them scream 'casual' to me, for casualwear I'd need warmth and a hood.

Stvalentines · 15/02/2024 09:08

@narniabusiness @kintra
yes they are all same coat, just different colour.
Yes I love bright colours, I’m like walking rainbow with my other clothes.
The thing with the brown one is I tried it in the store with my jeans on and it looked sort of cool and casual, which surprised me as I thought would be a smart style.
I love the green the best as green is my favourite colour always but thinking isn’t it a well bright?
But I also like the brown.

Really like the brown but if you want colour then green. Personally don't like the last weird blue.

Birdsworth · 15/02/2024 09:11

I love the green, like the brown and dislike the blue.

Green is very versatile. It goes with everything.

Stvalentines · 15/02/2024 09:14

@Birdsworth thank you.
I think I will go for the green as it’s so pretty.
The blue one is a bit weird, I mean I like the blue but it just looks strange on the model, my mum had a coat in that colour in the late 70s and I always thought it’s weird looking coat ..

If you enjoy wearing bright colours then you are right to go for the green.

MissSmiley · 15/02/2024 10:06

Surely it depends which colour suits you, what's your colouring?

New2024 · 15/02/2024 10:10

They are all nice. I think the camel coloured one is something you can wear with anything and can be dressed up or down. If you want to brighten it up you might need a few scarf options by the door. The other 2 would achieve instant brightness so might be more what you are after

Stvalentines · 15/02/2024 10:34

@MissSmiley I never thought about that way.
I usually get what I like though I try to avoid white as I don’t think I suit white colour at all but the rest I don’t care really.
Its only these particular coats come in 3 nice colours and I sort of like all of them with the green as the best..

Also I’m not really coaty person, usually I wear jackets only.
Anytime I bough a coat I returned it as I felt really old in it.

Update:
So I went and got these two coats, now I want to keep both!

They both really suit you.
They're an elongated blazer shape so maybe that's why you feel comfortable in this style. If you can afford it keep them both.

narniabusiness · 16/02/2024 16:09

I can see why you would want to keep them both. They do look great.

RubiesandRose · 16/02/2024 16:09

I like them both! Where are they from out of interest?

Stvalentines · 16/02/2024 16:11

@RubiesandRose they are from Sainsburys..

StarlightLime · 16/02/2024 16:11

The green is a much nicer shade "in the flesh", so to speak. They're both lovely.

Stvalentines · 16/02/2024 17:38

Thanks, I think I will cheekily keep both.
They are £35 each but I had £50 gift card to use.
I would never even look at the brown one usually as I prefer more brighter colours but it fits so well, also it’s more light brown, they call it beige actually but no pastel.
