Any suggestions?

I tend to like pinks.
I like ones that are long lasting.

Agree with dusky rose.
I also just went even deeper with a dusky rose brown which livens my face up - MAC whirl.
I'm level 8 copper blonde hair and NC20-25 skin.

Is your skin cool or warm toned?

I was going to ask the same question. I have med/dark golden blonde hair and pale skin but I'm very warm toned so what works for me might not work for you. I'm guessing you might be on the neutral/cooler side if you like pinks? I like the idea of pink but it makes me look like one of the undead.

I use pink honey by Clinique- have highlighted dark blonde hair & quite pale skin

Could you explain this NC thing for me please? Sounds interesting.

@Josette77 @SwordBilledHummingbird I forget but I think it needs more pinky stuff in foundation. If I use most concealers it's quite wrongly orange. I only found foundations that matched in recent years, when I discovered ones that had pink rather than orange tones. I think the foundation that suited me was called Rose Ivory.

This is me before I sorted the hair. Am knackered at the mo so would take a really nasty photo. :)

@kaiadeluded Ooh that looks good. Does it stay on for long? I like ones that last. I don't usually spend that much on a lipstick but it'd be worth it for a nice colour and long lasting.

I often try and get a lighter lipstick but I always migrate back to Maybelline 24hr in Perpetual Rose. They really do last a long time without disappearing too. The next morning there's still some on :)

Pillow talk , Charlotte Tilbury

kaiadeluded · 12/02/2024 20:04

I'm not sure it lasts that long it's similar to a gloss?

Rina66 · 12/02/2024 20:32

I think Charlotte Tilbury Sexy Sienna (a golden coral) would look lovely on you

JMAngel1 · 12/02/2024 21:31

NC means Not Cool in MAC so means that I'm warm toned.
If you are cooler pink toned you would be NW - not warm.

Rina66 · 12/02/2024 21:58

I thought the NC was neutral cool and NW was neutral warm?

I'm pretty sure you're correct. It means neutral.

Op Can you post an updated pic tomorrow? I'm excited to see your hair!!!

I'm still working on the hair and need to use some products to get some volume in the sides. But the colour is something like this

Oooooh I love the colour!
So much softer and natural looking!
Beautiful!

I'm curious what you look like with your bangs pulled back or to the side?

Your lips look fuller now too.

I love the hair colour. I'd still add some more blush.

And I think with the hair colour a coral lipstick would look gorgeous. Your skin looks so much warmer toned now!

JMAngel1 · 15/02/2024 10:00

That is a gorgeous hair colour? What did you use to get it from the darker mahogany shade to that golden strawberry blonde - it’s beautiful.

So the MAC query. Yes NC and NW do mean Neutral Cool and Neutral Warm but a MUA there told me to remember it as Not Cool and Not Warm. So if you are warm toned, you should use NC and if cool toned is NW. It’s the opposite to what the lettering would suggest. So OP you would definitely be NC.

I think you would look gorgeous in a lighter shade like MAC Honey Love or a light dusky rose. Lots of lustre and shine rather than matte. And a dusky rose blush too but light - MAC used to do a lovely light one called Well Dressed. Looks like a really pale pink in the pan but actually goes on quite dusky.

Great tips, thanks everyone.

The hairdresser bleached it twice to get the red out, after that we had to give up that day as my scalp was on fire :) So then a week or so later I did it with John Frieda Dark Golden Blonde precision foam and Bleach London's Just Like Honey. It tends to end up reddish whatever I do lol.
