Purple shampoo recommendations?

I have just had balayage done, I've got naturally medium/ dark brown hair and I've had some blonde put in, photo for ref.

I want to maintain it for as long as I can , I asked for balayage so I dont need to have it regularly coloured and potentially damage my hair. The hairdresser suggested I use a purple shampoo but she didn't suggest a particular brand

So I'm looking for purple shampoo recommendations please! Also would it be best to use a purple conditioner too, or does that not matter? Any other tips to keep the blonde bright and not brassy?

I'm currently using Fanola 'no yellow' shampoo. It's excellent but very strong so wear gloves. It will stain your hands purple

I use Olaplex 4P and Redken Color Extend Blondage mask. I tried Fanola but hated the smell.

I've tried so many and always go back to my trusty provoke from Tesco/b&m. They have a conditioning mask which is also great.

Lush do a nice one. It smells of violets and lasts for ages. Shampoo and conditioner.

I use this John Frieda one

I did buy and have the Fanola one but I haven't had to use it yet because the John Frieda violet crush is fine so far

I use Aussie “SOS SAVE MY LENGTHS SHAMPOO & Conditioner”

Then use the Lee Stafford after and leave it in a good 10mins.

Purple shampoo/conditioner doesn’t make your hair any more blonde or revive it so to say unfortunately ! It just tones down the brassy look. If you already know that then sorry !! X

My DD uses Fanola, bottle is huge but it's very purple and does stain!

I've tried them all and still prefer Superdrugs own make.

I use Fanola too. A bottle lasts ages.

Super drug own brand suits me. I'm grey haired.

I’ve been using the Charles Worthington Colourplex purple shampoo and conditioners - they have a version for everyday use (no purple staining).
Then they have one for your brightest blonde which I use once a month to completely strip out any brassiness - that stuff does turn your hands purple, so use gloves, or i go for a body scrub on hands usually helps get most of it off the skin.

Bleach London is the only one that works for me! I normally wash with a normal shampoo and then use that afterwards.

Some of them made my hair more yellow including Aussie so I guess what works for someone doesn't work for someone else.

Another Fanola recommendation. I have balayage, been done a fair few times now so some of the ends are almost white, Fanola is the only one of the purple shampoos I've tried that hasn't left my hair feeling like garbage (and I've tried at least 12 off the top of my head over the years).

Wash your hair with your normal shampoo, then Fanola (I use gloves for that cause it stains nails and I learned the hard way 2 days after getting BIAB done in a pale pink). Only use it once every sort of week/2 weeks, it will dry your hair out if you use it more often, I tend to leave the conditioner on a wee bit longer if I've used that just for a bit of tlc. Its a massive bottle too so lasts ages!

Moroccan oil purple shampoo once a week they also do conditioner. I use their moisturising shampoo in between. Love it. They sell on Amazon.

Fanola is the dogs. I've tried Provoke ( so drying and hardly any deposit of toning purple), Ethique and Purple Reign but I'm back to the trusty Fanola.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Fanola seems to be a popular choice so I think I'll give that one a try. I also picked up the provoke one whilst I was in B&M today as I saw it was cheap. I note the comments about not using it daily, which isn't a issue as I tend to only wash my hair once a week anyway and never more than twice. I'll also get some gloves so it doesn't stain my hands !
