Weekend in Dublin

So with half term approaching DH and I have booked a few days in Dublin, I’m a notorious over packer but I’m determined not to… how does the below sound:
1 x jeans
1 x grey wide leg trousers
3x t shirts
1 x jumper
1 x cardigan
1 x dress
trainers , black boots and a coat…
will probably travel in the jeans, do I need another trouser option? We planning on sightseeing, wandering and enjoying the city!
thanks all!

How many is "a few days"?

fedupwithbeinghot · 11/02/2024 00:44

If you mean 3 days, then I think that's plenty of clothes. In fact, I would not bother with the trousers. You can easily wear jeans for 3 days in this weather

I’d bring another pair of jeans if you’re wearing the pair over. Scarf and gloves. It’s cold enough at the moment.

Ps: Enjoy!

A waterproof jacket with hood, even if that be a pac a Mac type that you put on over what you are wearing ( I wear one over a winter coat some days )

Its not actually cold at the moment, but the rain has been pretty relentless and tbh a brolly slows you down and if the wind picks up they are a waste of time

When I wandering around cities, I wear walking shoes/boots and make sure they are well waterproofed and just stick a pair of pumps/loafers in the luggage for the evenings if a meal out is planned. Usually in a city trip we eat when hungry dressed as we are

Thanks for the replies, were there for 3 days 2 nights and I was torn between another pair of jeans and then losing the grey trousers.

Will definitely be checking the weather closer to the time, but thinking my trench coat with some red accessories - scarf, handbag etc
