Yes or no?

Any recommendations please if yes!

Generally yes, for more than a few days, definitely for underwear. I have a set from Away that are great, but DP (who is evangelical about them) has random sets from Amazon he loves.

No from me for clothing. They're just not big enough. In the packs off Amazon you only get 2 out of 5-6 that are anywhere near big enough for adults outfits. They are Ok for socks, underwear, swimwear etc

I've used the smaller ones to separate stuff in my hand luggage though. Used one for electricals (kindle, power banjs, cables) and another for magazines and books. Used another in suitcase for medications.

Used a fourth for used underwear and socks for suitcase on way home.

They're a definite yes from me.

It makes it so easy to organise your stuff.
It keeps it neat and stops it slipping about.
If you forget what you've packed and want to check or need to get to something at the bottom for some reason, it's so easy to get the cubes out that are on top and get to the bottom of the case.

Everybody can have their own cubes but you can then spread them across different cases. Then if one case goes missing everybody still has clothes.

If you've got limited room to unpack it's easier to live out of the case.
Or for stuff that doesn't need to be hung up, underwear, t-shirts etc, just lift the packing cube out of the case into the hotel drawer/ shelf - job done!

I just got the Amazon basics ones.

I got two sets from Amazon. I have found the sizes perfect. Large and medium ones for regular clothes, small for underwear and cables etc. Everyone has their own cubes, and I take an ‘overnight’ one in hand luggage so we all have a change of clothes in case of delays (plus swimwear if a beach holiday). I can get so much more in the suitcase, and I can pack things over a few days and stack in a corner, then just chuck it all in a suitcase.

Managed to get everything for 2 adults and 1 toddler in a large suitcase for a two week holiday!

Definite yes
I have a set from Amazon and it's brilliant that when I get to a hotel I can just lift them out the suitcase and pop them straight into the drawers. I know exactly where everything is, no rummaging. I wouldn't travel without them

boxofair · 10/02/2024 08:49

Definitely yes, I watched a lot of YouTube videos for sizes in real life compared to what clothes you could fit in. As a family we all have our own colours and I label the cube so I know what is in each and one. Easy to keep organised.

ememem84 · 10/02/2024 08:51

Yep. We have loads. I also use them for packing away seasonal clothes.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 10/02/2024 08:54

Wow , so many quick positive replies, thank you. 🙏 I use a few random free zipper pouches for cables etc but think a set that fits together in the case must be better.
There are so many on Amazon I don’t know where to start!

I got some of the Amazon basics ones. Found them really useful and packed my clothes to the same size as the cube so no sliding around. Perfect for long weekends too.

There was a long thread in Chat a few weeks back. It's basically a glorified 'everything in separate plastic bags' method but so much easier since they zip up neatly + you can see what's inside. I'm totally converted, I travel quite a bit for work and don't bother to unpack properly in the hotel room, just put the cubes in drawers or even leave them in my suitcase. Also great because I'm 50+ and not the strongest, and my bedroom + wardrobe is two flights of stairs up and I am not comfortable dragging a big heavy suitcase up and down. And, finally, went to some freezing Nordic countries and needed a big down coat but would have melted if I wore it to the airport in the UK. It folded very nicely into a cube, I could have never made it compact enough to fit into the suitcase otherwise.
