What do I need to know/ask about botox?

And is that what I need.

I'm 53 and fairly pleased with how I'm aging, but have recently developed quite deep lines around the corners of my mouth.

Something to plump them up a bit, but still be able to smile!?

Apparently every batch of botox is tested for potency on mice-see Peta's website so I'd never get it on that basis.
There's some really good non invasive influencers on Tiktok who focus on skin plumping and ageing. I'd go down that route and you can't lose. Many people are having their implants out due to having various ailments later found to be caused by leakage. It's put me off plastic surgery altogether.

That it's doctor/ nurse/ medical practitioner and when you go to see them, they would ask you what you want to achieve etc

Botox isn't for plumping. Filler is for plumping. Botox freezes the muscles so that the lack of movement stops lines from appearing/ helps them to heal over as your skin regenerates.

Have a look at the tweakments guide (Google) and find a Doctor near you who can talk it through and help you with what you need.

Avoid resting bitch face - it’s what gives you those lines.

You don’t need to smile, but just lift your cheek muscles a bit, rather than letting them sag.
