Day Spa or Spa Break in London or up to 90 minutes away

SoTiredNeedHoliday · 08/02/2024 13:17

Hello,
Not specifically style and beauty but I want to find a really good day spa or spa break for my DD 17 & 1. DD has been working so hard with A levels she really needs time out.
Any recommendations?

Where abouts in London - it can take 90 mins just from one end to the other.

Ones i would recommend include Luton Hoo and Hanbury Manor or Champneys in Tring. Pennyhill Park is absolutely stunning (I was pregnant when i went so didn't use many of the facilities but looked great!) so is Aqua Sana at Centre Parcs Woburn

Most i think will take over 16s though unsure how old your other child is as it says 1. most won't allow a one year old in but assuming it's a typo. if they are under 16 you may be more limited

Pennyhill Park and Four Seasons Hampshire are both lovely.

PHP is always highly recommended, ive been there for dinners and afternoon teas etc as its not far from me but never used the spa.
Nirvana is a real treat though, beautiful and incredibly relaxing. My sister sometimes takes me with a free ticket, it’s very expensive.
I have a spa attached to my gym which is brilliant so I use that quite a lot but wouldn’t recommend it for a spa day (and I think they’ve actually stopped doing them now!).
Does all depend though on which side of London you’re coming from!

@Bells3032 thank you for your suggestions. Sorry my post meant to say DD and I (not one)!

We are in Hammersmith so anywhere in London is fine or up to 90 minutes drive away outside of London

Its the best I have been to, and even my husband would go back. Pennyhill Park was nice but Nirvana wins hands down in that area (half hour west of London)

The Grove

peppernuts · 09/02/2024 00:25

Another vote for nirvana spa! It's amazing. The best spa around

bryceQ · 09/02/2024 05:54

I think it depends a lot on budget

Alchemistress · 09/02/2024 06:06

Seconding The Grove.
PHP is very nice though.

Best ever is Monart, but it's in Ireland...

Nirvana spa 's facilities really very good indeed. Need to book treatments insanely far ahead. Enjoy the huge jacuzzi pool and hope to bag an outside private jacuzzi.

That's a lovely treat for them.
Consider checking out these London spas for great packages:

  1. ESPA Life at Corinthia: Luxurious spa with seasonal specials.
  2. The Bulgari Spa: Sophisticated treatments, sometimes with exclusive spa day packages.
  3. Agua Spa at Mondrian London: Stylish spa along the Thames, look for spa day deals.
  4. The Spa at The Ned: Historic Ned building, often offers spa day packages.
  5. K West Hotel & Spa: West London spa with various packages.
  6. The Lanesborough Club & Spa: Luxurious spa with combined treatment packages.
  7. Aqua Sana at Center Parcs Woburn Forest: If willing to venture just outside London for diverse spa experiences.
Another option is to purchase a cheap spa for your garden lol. I like a small 2 person hot tub set up in the garden.
