Firstly let me say, I am not at all stylish!😬🤣

I keep getting sucked in to following people who make cheap stuff from Amazon etc look Amazon, click on the links to buy the items that will obvs change my life only to find that they're all from USA.

Who can I 'follow' in the UK so I can click on the links and buy the UK items that will be so life changing?!?

Why do that at all?

Why not browse good online shops and choose your own clothes?

(This is after all Style & Beauty, not Sheep & Beauty …)

People with their own unique sense of style will not be posting on these threads I can assure you.

It depends on your age/style/shape but I'm 50 and follow the below on Insta:

isthistooyoungforme :50+ British based slightly more edgy urban style + beauty
thechiccitygirl - US based lots of very bold colours but similar shape to me and helps me remember not to live in black!
thecharlotte_edit British, more mainsteam/everyday clothes (slighty annoying posts)
carolinestylehacks - sometimes a bit too hip/try hard - LOTS of very oversized/baggy clothes but some nice pieces and UK based fan of vintage

Would be interested in hearing who other follow as I'm always on the hunt for new ideas. If that makes me a sheep so what - obviously not going to replicate an entire outfit but don't ever go into the shops so it's helpful getting inspiration then pull together different elements to suit my own style. I don't ever buy from influencers (never convinced about quality/price & just assume they will be no better than cheap high street) but use influencers to find pieces you like and buy on places like vinted.

I like WearsMyMoney

Nice ideas and easy to replicate on a budget and emphasis on getting basics done well too. She's funny too

Meant to say I'm a total Luddite and not on SM (just here Grin) so I subscribe to her emails which are twice weekly at the most

‘Who What Wear’ I find is a quite good and has suggestions for trends, with links to suggested items from a wide price range for that trend.

The one negative is that I do find they favour certain shops, but it’s good for getting an overall picture.

I've recently found 'whattowearfor_' and although a lot of the links are for £££ items, some aren't, and the posts give me ideas of outfits to put together that I actually already have in my wardrobe but don't think of.
