Waxing *down there*!

Hey!

I've been going to a beautician to have my bikini line waxed for about 12 months, but I CANNOT for the life of me get rid of the ingrown hairs that come - I thought at first it might have been because I'd never been waxed before and the hair just needed to get used to it (I don't know), but they won't go away!

Anyone have amy tips/products/routines to get rid of them? I exfoliate every other day!

Tips?

Yes, leave it alone!

I prefer hairless because it feels so good but I just can't face going to a salon for it.

Women really should not tell women what to do with their pubic hair. DO what the fuck you want with your body.

'As for those saying hair should be there etc, do you remove underarm and leg hair?As for the suggestion that hair is meant to be there, meant??? The body was not designed, it evolved. And to suggest otherwise does not take into account there are many flaws!'

Pubic hair is not a flaw. It's a feature not a bug!

I'm not seeing anyone telling women what to do with their pubes.

Merely suggesting that the best way to avoid ingrowing hairs on one's genitals is to leave the fuck alone.

I've never had an ingrown hair in over forty years from waxing, shaving or creams .

Gentle exfoliation and moisturising daily.

Now my routine is shaving and using a flawless trimmer which is fantastic.

The OP asked for advice about ingrowing hairs. She did not seek opinions about whether she should remove her hair or not

I think some people seem more prone to ingrowing hairs than others, whatever the method, from speaking to friends. I’m a big bush fan and always have been, occasionally shave a bit if swimming and then remember the fucking awful ingrown hairs and think who tf am I doing this for? And then don’t do it again for years. Who cares if someone sees a few pubes at the side of my cossie, they shouldn’t be looking.

Actually you can still get ingrown hairs by not doing anything to them

CharlotteBog · 08/02/2024 15:13

I've never really understood how pubic hair is subject to changes in fashion.
Surely you do whatever you feel comfortable doing (or not doing). If you have a partner then you may wish to take their wishes into consideration.

That's not true. The scorn and judgement on these threads is revolting, and yes, they come around every few months. The assumption that it is 'for a man' or 'fashion' or 'to look like a porn star'. WTF? Most women do it because it increases sexual sensation or because THEY prefer the way it looks. And yes, I have been told MANY times on these threads that I am wrong, it doesn't increase sensation etc because women who think it's fine to tell another what to do with their pubes also know how I feel when I have sex. Just let other women live their lives in their bodies and shut up.

And OP this works, but it is expensive: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tend-Skin-Ingrown-Hair-Solution/dp/B001ECQ7G4/ref=zg_bs_g_74088031_d_sccl_2/258-7525415-2834558?psc=1
