How to style this?

I have a blouse similar to these which is like to wear on Saturday to a valentines themed ladies lunch - don't ask 🤦🏻‍♀️

Is the only option to style it with blue jeans? I feel blue jeans and white trainers is very casual and I'd like to look as if I've made more of an effort.

I have red heels I could wear but then I'd be unsure about a jacket / coat

Any suggestions?

Are you wearing it because you want to wear it or because there's a hearts themed dress code?

Oh it’s cute! I would honestly probably go with blue jeans and white Converse.

Don’t forget the French tuck to jazz it up, Queer Eye style Grin

I'm assuming you're going with a theme for valentines. I'd wear it with dark indigo jeans as opposed to light like the second photo, black trainers and black jacket. Basically I'd treat it like a white top and assume the hearts were there just for fun as opposed to building a heart themed outfit.

Something like that but possibly darker jeans.

Have a look at the styling here:

(I see they have what looks like the exact same shirt - but worn far more adventurously.) Surely ‘ladies at lunch’ is an opportunity to be joyfully colourful and chic? Why would you wear drab jeans and trainers?
