What to do about the prices of (REDKEN) shampoo?

I am needing some advice. For the past 10 years, I have been using Redken Color Magnetics, shampoo and conditioner. I have been totally faithful to this Redken for all of these years. I love it so much, I hate to give it up but with the price of it now I cannot afford it anymore! I’ve been paying $52, at least, per bottle so that’s over $100 for shampoo and conditioner . It’s just gotten out of control ! And I don’t know what to do. So I was wondering does anybody know a shampoo conditioner that’s comparable to the Redken Color magnetic shampoo conditioner because I seriously need your help I’m totally lost with this

Are you in the US? Why are you giving dollar prices?

Chanceki · 06/02/2024 19:18

Yes I am. I’m sorry. That’s how desperate I am for opinions about this

There are so many great brands out there nowadays. Just give something else a try!

I love Nexxus Keraphix which I think is an American brand.

I've had to stop using it too. £50 for the shampoo and conditioner set I used to get and I can't justify it!

Been trying L'Oreal Professional which is lovely but not quite the same.

I do buy in the liter bottles as well. They are currently $52 or for those over in your region I believe that's roughly ₤48. if you buy them here in America. Im so sadden by the price. Ive used that product so long nothing else seems to even compare to its quality!

See I knew I wasn't alone. Could you imagine spending double that? I have been spending $52 per bottle and in your region that would be roughly ₤96. (I think).
I have tried a few L'Oreal but it's not the same.

Jesus that is such alot of money on basically soap.

You would be better off buying cheaper wash products and taking supplements/vitamins for hair.

What's so amazing about Redken Shampoo compared to others ? Just out of interest

I tried Redken years ago and it left my hair really thin and flyaway so I never used it again

I did think recently though that it probably had cleaned my hair well and left it in its natural state because I do remember it also feeling very soft. But it just felt too thin

Mitherations · 08/02/2024 09:19

I used to stock up on Redken and fill my suitcase with it when in the US, it used to be so much cheaper over there than here!

Do you know anyone in the beauty/hair/aesthetics industry that could get it for you at wholesale prices? With it being a professional brand it's usually significantly cheaper for professionals.

Also maybe look into Fanola it's probably the closest you can get to professional quality on a lower budget.
