Shark Flexstyle 5 in 1? Dyson Airwrap?

Anyone have one and would recommend? Or not? I have fine hair and would like to use it for drying and for curling ideally. My DP has offered to buy me one if I like for my birthday in a couple of weeks but checking if they’re any good first! What about the Dyson Airwrap? Would prefer not to have to spend that much (I would top up the rest of the cost) ideally but if it would change my life…😂

Thanks in advance for any insight on either!

I have fine hair and find that the curls with dyson airwrap don't last for me. I need to use a proper curler for the curls to last. That aside, I would get the airwrap over the shark version if you can afford it. I've handled the shark in store and the build feels much cheaper than the airwrap. There are some comparison videos on youtube and iirc, all of them preferred the airwrap.

I have the Shark. The hairdryer is really great. I often take it travelling. I tried a friend's Dyson, and for the results, it doesn't justify the price. I have thick, curly hair pron to frizz so have a different texture to you.

I have the shark and probably wouldn't buy it again. Curls don't hold, I know they are meant to be more like a blow dry but it doesn't hold at all. Hairdryer isn't very powerful. I quite like the round brush but not for £300

I love my air-wrap 100%! I have fine hair and it works really well for me, it's a blowdry tool though not a traditional curling iron (which sort of burns the curl into your hair at 200* +) so to results aren't always going to be the same. It does take some getting used to but my hair is healthier, looks better and people always compliment my hair now. It's like curly blowdry every day!

Thank you everyone. Well I’ve bitten the bullet and bought the Air Wrap!

Now looking for styling product recommendations if anyone has any? I’d like to find a mousse which will help (hopefully!) to hold the curl a bit more, but won’t build up residue on hair or on the barrel! Any particular suggestions?

I've found the ghd products best for heat protection and holding curls.
