Barcelona capsule wardrobe

Help! I’m off to Barcelona at half term but have been stingy with my baggage allowance so need to pack incredibly carefully. I think I’m going to travel in wide leg trousers, AF1s and wool coat, then just take a change of top for daytime, but what about the evenings? Is the ‘dress with trainers’ look a bit dated / British? Do I need to squeeze boots in? Any other suggestions for an easy night time look?

Thank you!

Will you actually go out out in the evening? By that I mean go back to the hotel, get changed and go back out? It’s a really busy city break and potentially it’s back to the hotel in the evening after dinner for a drink at the bar and into bed! Are you planning on clubs and pubs or just out for dinner? If the later, I don’t think you need to change. We never have and dinner tends to fall when we are hungry and out anyway so we go as we are.

This is a good point, but yes, I think we will go back to the hotel, rest for a bit and then go back out. I’d like to be able to feel like I’ve dressed up a bit, without adding too much to my bag. Just dinner or bars, not any clubs.
