Summer and Winter wedding outfits

Help !!! I have 2 weddings to go to this year. One is in July the other is in December. I am guest only so not main character as such, but close enough to want to look half decent My problem is I am an odd shape and different size top to bottom...ie bottom larger so i need to get in early to have as much choice as possible. I would like to wear a smart trouser suit to both as I am so not a dress /skirt (or shiny) kind of girl, but do want to look feminine. Also i dont want to buy something that will never be worn again, so for example, wearing the jacket as a separate .

Now I realise that one outfit for both will be pretty much out of the question but suggestions on best shops for occasion wear and the best time to go looking?????? The weddings are July and December.

I am a size 16 to 18 and hitting 60 but I want to look well and stylish.....I know a tall order given my dimensions/age.

All advice welcome, please be kind. Thank you in advance.

FTFY.

BTW if you want versatile things that can be worn again you probably don’t want ‘occasion wear’ - just two good suits in excellent fabrics. One linen / silk / cotton, the other wool or velvet? You might find a very light wool twill that could be worn for both, but it would probably look too warm for July and unseasonably light for December.

Do you have a budget in mind?

(Let’s pretend you don’t - observe the velvet perfection of a Lisou suit. Jackets and trousers sold separately to enable correct sizing. Would be gorgeous for Winter.)

But there are countless options depending on how much you want to spend. And whether you do want to buy, or hire as necessary.

Thanks for the reply. Think Lisou out if my range. I was looking at Sezane type prices but obviously if I can go cheaper then all the better. Love Sezane but think it's more for the thin tall and gorgeous sadly. I am going to lose a bit of weight before the wedding and would love to be a size smaller which might broaden my horizons a bit.
