Super easy eyebrow tint

I usually have my eyebrows tinted a mid to dark brown but my regular lady has been poorly for weeks so think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and do my own 😬 Does anyone have any recommendations for a super easy tint that won't end up all over my face? 😆

I use this. Easy peasy.

I use a cotton bud to outline my brows with Vaseline, to prevent staining. Apply the tint with a thin, slanted makeup brush (like the kind for applying brow powder).
Leave on for 10 mins or so and then wipe off with a cotton pad, using my usual make-up remover cream.

I have ginger hair (not natural) and like a bold brow so I use the black tint. It's really dark for the first day but does fade over a week or so. Various colours available for your own requirements.

I tint mine maybe every month though it does fade between times.

I use just for men beard dye! Lasts loads longer than eyebrow dye!

evilharpy · 31/01/2024 14:38

It's super easy. I use Refectocil from Salon Services but you probably need a trade card to buy it. Otherwise Dybrow works perfectly well. I can't imagine bothering to have it done in a salon. I do my lashes too.

MermaidEyes · 31/01/2024 17:10

Thank you, I'll check these out. I've had them done in a salon for as long as I can remember so I guess I never really thought about doing them myself!

I get Refectofil from Ebay. Bought a 'kit' first time round (included brush, glass pot, hydrgen peroxide, dye, vaseline, shields for eyelashes) then just bought the dye thereafter.

PepsiMaxLime · 31/01/2024 17:14

I use the Eyelure one as above but heard good things about just for men!

just have cotton buds on standby to remove any stray dye, I don’t bother with Vaseline

drowningintinsel · 31/01/2024 19:48

Eyelure. It's brilliant.

Stressfordays · 31/01/2024 19:53

Literally just did mine with eylure dybrown in dark brown. Took me 15 mins max and they've come out fine.

Can you just mix a bit up or do you use a full pack each time ?

FlibbertyGibbitt · 31/01/2024 20:10

I use this from Superdrug , about £6. It’s tinted with gel to keep them unruly brows at bay ! Thing is with dying them yourself it’s hard to get the colour right.

Super easy eyebrow tint

I do the exact same as @StevieNicksWannabe but with this and it is super easy to do!

I have actually got a tinted brow gel, think it's Rimmel, but it comes off as soon as I'm showering and removing my make up.

This one is quite sticky , must say I like it

Pinkypie86 · 31/01/2024 20:24

Another vote for Dybrow - Amazon have some good kits though.
Really good and easy. I use Elizabeth Arden 8 hour stick as a protectant around the areas and wipe off.

Anjelika · 31/01/2024 20:25

Another Dyebrow fan here. Would never pay to get mine tinted again.

Chimchar · 31/01/2024 20:28

Another vote for Just For Men. It's fab! You can mix up as much or as little as you need.
I use the applicator brush it comes with and then wipe any spills with a cotton wool bud.
Wipe off after 5 mins I think.

It's great!

PaulCostinRIP · 31/01/2024 20:30

I use men beard dye and cotton buds. I've never had it drip or run and I keep it on far longer than the allotted time.

PinkArt · 31/01/2024 20:37

A bit at a time @Thunderstruckbysnoring. I think one box will last me a lifetime!

Shortcutsgalore · 31/01/2024 20:53

I bought eylure last week and have been putting off using it until I saw this post. Done and dusted in 10 minutes - so easy!! I will never pay to get it done again.

Thunderstruckbysnoring · 31/01/2024 20:57

@PinkArt lovely thank you !

NotSmallButFunSize · 31/01/2024 21:35

How do you pick the right colour? I don't want to go super dark so have been looking at the mid brown but I worry about it turning out too warm and gingery? My natural hair is more ashy than warm

HillyHoney · 31/01/2024 21:39

I use the Eyelure Dylash in Dark Brown - technically it's for lashes rather than brows but the lash version doesn't contain PPD, which I'm allergic to, whilst the Dybrow does. No idea why, maybe regulations about not using PPD so close to eyes?

I am greyish blonde (ashy) and I just don't leave it on for too long, and it's doesn't come out warm or gingery. It's always a tad too dark for the first few days but soon settles down.

99cats · 31/01/2024 21:40

@NotSmallButFunSize try grey for more ashy tones

TiptoeTess · 31/01/2024 21:42

Do you colour your hair? I use a little bit of my hair dye on my brows when i do my roots- works fine and matches!!

I'm very tempted now after reading all of these posts!
