EGF serums?

I am intrigued by the EGF serums like the BioEffect one that seems popular here. I have never used one and its very expensive but some reviews are very positive. Has anyone here used any of them or can they recommend them? I use tretinoin and do dermal needling so I wondered if EGF serums might be good to use in tandem with these products?

Any thoughts on them or suggestions of which to try?

I used Bioeffect about 7 years ago and thought it had a huge positive effect on my skin. I also had photofacials around the same time.

I tried Bioeffect again this year, I've been using it consistently for a few months and can't see any effect at all. It's either because I'm older (mid-50s) or it was actually all the photofacial last time.

I have heard that dermarolling makes it more effective, I haven't been very consistent with that, I'll try and be better with that for the rest of the bottle. At the moment though I doubt I will buy it again.

@Copen Thanks for the feedback! It is sometimes difficult to determine what is making the difference when your doing multiple things! I suppose the only way to know for sure is to try it myself but it is so expensive!

If you're on tret I wouldn't bother. I'm not sure why there's a sudden interest in EGF again, I tried it long ago when it was just new with little expectation (Bioeffect deluxe sample which was about half the amount of a full bottle) and while it's really impressive in giving you very healthy looking skin very quickly it really doesn't encourage continued use as it doesn't do much beyond that, by the time you've finished a bottle you're sort of over it.

The wow factor really is in the fast turnaround so I'd really only advise it to someone whose skin has gone to pot and needs something gentle that will give the closest thing to instant results or they can't use (or be bothered with) actives but want to use something. However, compared to the quality of skin you can achieve with a well curated full actives routine including tret, it really doesn't compare.

I have starting using bio effect and it’s bloody brilliant, a lot of people have been commenting on how good my skin looks, I can really see the difference
