Well, I am completely fed up of feeling rubbish about myself and hiding under baggy jumpers. I need some clothes ideas. I carry my weight around my boobs and tummy which I'm trying to embrace but am a bit self conscious about and i want to feel a bit more glam. I've got a lot of ASOS vouchers to use but I'm open to anywhere. Just after some inspiration! Dresses, tops, trousers, shoes, anything! Size 16/18 - 5ft3. Willing to experiment with different styles 🙂

I'm a size 14/16, 5ft, I find Yours Clothing is really good for jeans/cargo's that don't give muffin top 😊 they don't really do petite though but I find their 'cropped' stuff is perfect
Newlook have the best jeans in my opinion for being so short but I find it's always best to try their jeans on first 😊

Oh and last summer I did get quite a few playsuits from Yours that were amazing! So comfy and flattering Smile

As you actually say you’re open to anywhere - these are all more or less ‘glam’ (in different ways):

Batsheva

Ganni

Palava

Reformation

Sister Jane

I saw a video on tik Tok the other day which basically said, "styling is everything" and the demo was wearing a pair of black trousers and a top. The woman in the video was skinny and tall so NOTHING like me (I'm like you - size 16/18, large breasts, tummy and I'm 5ft4). But I do think she's right. When I put a bit of effort in with accessories, make up, the right jacket/shoes etc, it's amazing how my jeans and jumper go from "mum dragged out of bed" to "somewhat stylish". The other day I actually dragged on a pair of fitted trousers, a pair of black ankle boots, a slouchy jumper and some statement ear rings and I was a bit shocked at how different it felt! Grin

having said that, I can't do it in the depths of winter. I just want to be warm. eg I have a couple of more stylish coats... I never wear them because they're just not as warm as my puffa jacket! But in spring, autumn and summer, I can make more effort.

I think there's value in having one or two items that are sort of statement or fashionable or different and that you can hang an outfit on I've been wanting a midi denim skirt for ages as something that's different to jeans and a jumper, fashionable but not, frankly, too terrifying for me! (haven't managed it yet as things have been a bit skint here, and I don't have tall enough boots right now!, but toying with trying the relatively inexpensive M&S one. I better be quick - they'll be out of fashion soon!)

Thanks everyone! Looking at things I'd have never found on my own and am having fun picking my favourites 🩷
