Dual magnetic eyelashes - the ones you clip together

These keep coming up on my Tik Tok FYP and I wonder if they are any good.

I just can not get to grips with the glue on ones and the magnetic eyeliner makes my eye lids itch so thought the dual ones may work. I love the idea of being able to just clip them on with the applicator thingy and I’m good to go (if it’s as easy as they make out on the ad!)

Has anyone tried these?

Yes. I have never even got them on. I reckon I need at least one extra pair of hands! They get attracted to each other before you get them in the right place. Glue on eyelashes as far easier - the ones that are little clumps you put at the edges of your lashes are by far the easiest as are the ones with a thin band. You can cut them down and use on the outer half. Letting the glue get tacky for at least 30 seconds is the key.

I have a lash lift every few weeks these days. The results are great and with mascara my lashes look great without the faff of false lashes.

I did wonder if they may be too good to be true, that’s a shame.
My dd wears the individuals and leaves them on all week (not sure if that’s advisable or not). She says they are easy to put on so I should have a practice with those I suppose.

My friend has the lash lift, I’ve been tempted to go for these. Is the upkeep expensive?

It costs me £35 a time around every 8 weeks which includes tint, which arguably I don't need as my lashes are dark.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 30/01/2024 16:58

There's no upkeep as such, you just have it redone as your lashes grow and the Permed ones are replaced by new growth.

Totally second having a lash lift...game changer. Best £32 every 8weeks I spend. Use a lash serum too to get luscious long lashes! 1st pic was my first lift and second pic is my next lift having used serum every day.

What serum do you use? I asked questions about this a few months ago as some change your eye colour and make you look like you've been punched in the eye and it can be permanent.

Candyflosscrochet · 30/01/2024 20:06

This one.... I've had no reactions or stinging or any issues using it. Every night on clean lashes and base , i use a little brush to comb it through. Lasts ages. My new best friend!

I've tried the magnetic lashes. I got them from ebay and they only cost a few pounds. They did look cheap . I found them easier than glue ones, but still fiddly to get them in the right place.

GreyBlackLove · 31/01/2024 13:09

I find them really tricky, they never look great. I also love a lash lift, and find that of all the stick on lashes the ones that stick to the underside of your eye are easiest to apply

sparklefart · 31/01/2024 13:33

Your lashes look amazing! Does anyone know though how the serum works? I've never taken them seriously before and just assumed lash serum was snake oil. Happy to be wrong!

Goldenbrowntexturelikesun · 31/01/2024 21:43

Thanks everyone, think I’ll try a lash lift.

And I’ll get some lash serum too Candyflosscrochet, your lashes look fab.
