Ok so, lots of lovely handbags now cost £2,000 plus. They used to be around £800, if my reading of these pages is correct.
I recently bought a handbag laptop bag for carting my stuff around London, £400 for Sarah haran bags, as I apparently was after a bag that did exist- non nylon, backpack looks like a handbag. Very happy with my Poppy

The bag is real leather, well made and perfectly designed for how I will use it.
So, above £400 anything else is just the brand value, and design value.
I'm pretty sure that Chanel 2.55 bag would have been a better investment than the stock market. Does any market sell futures in handbags??? I bet not, and yet they are market beating.
Anyway on to my point- how high in price are these fancy bags going to go?
Are LV etc actually trying to price out everywoman, so their bags are sought after but not bought by the masses?
What is the end point for handbags?
Will the bubble burst, like the tulips in 1600s? Or will they continue to climb?
