Searching for unicorn - lightweight tinted moisturiser/foundation for 'mature' skin, vegan...

I should also say I don't have the kind of disposable income to be splashing out regularly on expensive brands 😬

I've been searching everywhere for something that isn't too heavy (because, lines) but gives at least a light cover, and is vegan.

Am I searching for the impossible? I know I'm probably going to have to grit my teeth and splash out at some point...

I use an Erborian CC cream, it’s slightly tinted and for redness as I have rosacea but they have other types if you don’t need that. Cruelty free their website says. It goes on really nicely and just gives a light coverage and a nice hint of colour.

Try Green People Age Defy Tinted DD moisturiser, that's lovely. £43 but there's always a code to be found or other sites may have it cheaper. They do a sample pack with the two different shades to try as well.

I second Eborian CC.

ClaraPalaver · 30/01/2024 08:06

Erborian even.

Diplidocus4 · 30/01/2024 08:08

I use (rarely) Erborian after recommendations from MN
Fabulous but no idea if it's vegan sorry

L'Oreal True Match Nude tinted serum is great and inexpensive (£10-15). Nars Pure Radiant Tinted moisturiser also brilliant but more ££.

egowise · 30/01/2024 08:13

I also use eborian

Mix your foundation with your moisturiser to make a tinted one. Try adding a little liquid highlighter too.

Don’t know if it’s vegan but Chantacaille tinted moisturiser is fabulous. Very pricey but SpaceNK often do 20% off and it lasts for ages because you need very little of it.

Thanks so much everyone!! I've been quietly testing these and just realised I never responded!

How are you finding erborian? I bought some after seeing another MN thread last month. I love it!

lindyloo57 · 06/03/2024 18:23

I love the Eborian cc cream and the bb cream for a little more coverage, I just got from ebay a sample of Georgia armarni luminous silk foundation as I see it gets great reviews but it didn't work for me, it gave me that poker dot look on my skin.

Smellz714 · 06/03/2024 19:53

Perricone MD's no make-up serum foundation will tick most of these boxes though not sure if it's vegan. I love it. Light, easy to apply, buildable coverage.

bakewellbride · 06/03/2024 20:16

I'm in my thirties but rimmel kind and free skin tint is brilliant

TRC11 · 06/03/2024 20:21

Rose Inc tinted serum is great and vegan
