Micro manicure tacky or classy?

I quite like them!

Luckingfovely · 29/01/2024 22:29

Perfect.

French nails look hideous when the tips are tooooo white and tooooo thick.

Those are good.

Cincinnatus · 29/01/2024 22:30

Very nice.

Love this look!

ArcaneWireless · 29/01/2024 22:31

I like that.

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 29/01/2024 22:32

Definitely classy. I'd live my nails to look like that.

murasaki · 29/01/2024 22:32

Very nice. I didn't know micro manicure was a thing, but quite fancy one now.

StSwithinsDay · 29/01/2024 22:33

Why would they be considered tacky? Or classy for that matter?

Luckingfovely · 29/01/2024 22:51

Tacky nails: overcomplicated patterns with tiny gems or other fripperies attached. Different colours or designs on each nail.

Classy nails: classic plain colours, usually neutral, or a simple French Manicure as above.

ThePoshUns · 29/01/2024 23:10

They look great

bradpittsbathwater · 29/01/2024 23:29

Lovely. I want one now. Is it gel polish?

PaulCostinRIP · 29/01/2024 23:31

They look lovely.

Unnatural shapes such as coffin, stiletto or very long nails look tacky.

Bululu · 29/01/2024 23:31

Certainly the opposite of tacky.

Grimchmas · 29/01/2024 23:33

What do I ask for to get that? Is micro manicure a recognised term? Because this is 100% what I would ask for. I can't stand long and pointy, thick nails. I think these are short, neat and pretty, and my sort of nails!

LaviniasBigBloomers · 29/01/2024 23:37

Oh that's so pretty. Is it gels though? I am not going back to ruining my nails just to keep a salon in business. If this is just an 'old fashioned polish manicure' then I'm in.

ThirtyThrillionThreeTrees · 29/01/2024 23:40

Never heard the term.

I'm.so over coloured nails and think a French manicure is dated and aging - too much white tip. This is perfect. I'll be using your photo next time I'm getting mind done.

Opine · 29/01/2024 23:45

How could that be tacky? The top manicurists can produce a very delicate finish with gel like you see here. It’s micro because the nail is short with a very small tip. Thick, clumsy, gel nails are what’s tacky.
They look grubby.

The tip can be any colour or it can be reverse. It’s how nails should be in 2024. Delicate and chic.

Opine · 29/01/2024 23:47

@LaviniasBigBloomers its gel. The modern gels like bio sculpture, which this likely is, are good for nails.

hellsBells246 · 29/01/2024 23:47

Nice! Love a classy French manicure.

Morewineplease10 · 30/01/2024 00:16

I like it too.

Motherofpearlxoxo · 30/01/2024 09:06

Absolutely perfect!

Bichette · 30/01/2024 09:48

I love this look.
Do you think it's possible to have just the tips done with gel product and then use ordinary clear polish over the whole nail?
Then when they get too long you can just cut off the tip and don't have to have it professionally removed which ruins my nails.

Imamumgetmeoutofhere · 30/01/2024 10:57

Gorgeous. Just what I want when my nails are long enough.

Opine · 30/01/2024 13:15

@Bichette the whole nail is covered in gel. Both base and tip. It’s just so well done that it looks like there’s only clear polish. lWhen it grows off you can cut the tip off with clippers but it’s better to remove it all at once.
