Blusher oxidizing- is this a thing?

Something odd is going on.

I've used the same blusher for years (Nars- the palest shade they do- peachy pink) and always loved it. But now, I've noticed that sometimes it deepens in colour about 30 mins after applying it.

A friend recently asked me if I'd changed my foundation colour as it looked browner 🤔(She meant my cheeks.)

Obviously I'd not but I notice it happens sometimes with some foundations (I've a few on the go as I'm experimenting, but they are all very pale.)

I've heard of foundation oxidizing but not blusher.

Is this a 'thing' or am I just overdoing it?

I've found that it happens a lot with mineral blushers, you leave the house with a natural looking flush then catch yourself in the mirror at lunchtime looking like Coco the clown.
