A really big tub of hair mask/conditioner? Silicone free?

Evening all.

I have long, thick, frizzy hair. After shampooing, I coat it in hair mask and comb it through before rinsing.

I've been using tubs of Faith in Nature hair mask. It's silicone free which I like. And it's a thick product, rather than runny conditioner which goes everyone except on the hair! BUT, even though it's not expensive as these things go, I'm getting through a tub a week so costs will mount.

Can anyone recommend a product that might work out cheaper? Maybe an industrial sized-tub? There's a Sally's hairdressing near me but I don't have a trade card so not sure that's an option.

Thanks

Garnier hair mask ? £6 from Tesco or I use ziaja goats milk hair mask from Amazon. That’s £6 too. Mine likes that( doesn’t like coconut and am a curly )

A tub a week?

You only need a tablespoon tops - I use the Argan and Shea for mine and for DDs curly hair - alongside the Argan and Shea shampoo and it’s perfect

We both wash out hair every other day and the tub lasts weeks

And maybe add conditioner after rinsing your hair mask and leave it in. I’ve got proper curls now and not frizz. If it does frizz I just add conditioner . Life changing !

I love the garnier one and they are often on offer for 4.50.

You can buy non trade and it's a few pounds dearer.

Try osmo hair mask.

Garnier Hair Food.
Better than any that cost £££££

Thanks all! I will have a look at these.

Yeah, I wash my hair twice a week and use half a tub each time. My hair is really damaged from a bad bleaching incident so it needs a load of conditioner even to get the in-shower wide-tooth comb through it.

It might need protein as well then, mine is awful if I have it highlighted. Try Amino protein drops from Amazon and use in a conditioning mask as well.

My dd switched from the Garnier one to the Faith in Nature one and the Faith in Nature is much better.

@BrainInAJar definitely get the osmo repair mask. It will be about £12 but is a massive salon sized tub.

BrainInAJar · 28/01/2024 20:40

Thanks. I've ordered the Osmo.
One of the garnier ones I tried before and it smelled too sweet for me

Thanks all, I tried the Osmo today and I like it. Smells like bubblegum but not too strong. Hair feels silky but it doesn't appear to contain silicone which would end up coating the hair and making it sticky. the price is brilliant for such a massive tub as well!

That "just my look" site seems great - free delivery when you spend over £10! Almost too good to be true! I've ordered a big tub of hair mask by Fanola as well, just to compare.
