Does anyone use this service for anti ageing purposes and have you seen visable results?

I used it for 8m and didn’t rate it at all. I couldn’t see any difference.

AnotherFuckingUsername · 28/01/2024 08:32

I've been using it for about 9 months now and very happy with progress and results. In the first 2 months felt there was an improvement in skin clarity and texture started to improve. Noticeable difference now in how youthful my skin looks. I'm very happy! (I'm 45).

Tret levels started low and increased gradually. Initially, I was questioning this but I've only once experienced flaking and out this down to the slowly slowly approach.

saturnspinkhoop · 28/01/2024 08:44

I found it cleared my acne and got rid of light brown patches on my cheeks. I didn’t find it did anything for fine lines. I was prescribed tret. I came off it in the end as the redness and soreness was too much. It was a little odd really as I had no irritation for months and then my skin went red and so sore.

mnahmnah · 28/01/2024 08:45

Yes and I really like it. Definitely
price the difference - others have said so too. I only wish it was cheaper!

tryingsomethingnew · 28/01/2024 08:47

I've seen this on social media. What do you mean by service?

I've seen this on social media. What do you mean by service?

It's a monthly subscription service for tret.

OP, I've been using it for over a year now. To be honest the difference hasn't been dramatic. In fairness though I didn't really have acne or blemishes to start with.
My skin texture has improved and makeup now sits better. I would say it's possibly softened some of my fine lines and I definitely haven't developed any more so on balance I'd recommend it.

brummyadele91 · 28/01/2024 10:01

Wow good to know. Does anyone have any referral codes?

(You get first and fifth doser for £3.50 and I would get a £10 credit).

If anyone is finding Skin & Me or Dermatica expensive, but still wants to use tretinoin, you can buy it from online pharmacies abroad (you just can't get it without a prescription in the UK or Ireland). So in Spain and Greece I believe you can get it over the counter, if you know anyone who lives there and would be kind enough to send it to you - or I buy mine from Farmacia Tristaina, an online pharmacy based in Andorra.

The brand name is Retirides and it comes in 3 strengths - 0.025%, 0,05% and 0.1%. I've been buying from them for a few years and it's been good, it's about €20 per 30g tube and they last me for about 3 months using it 4 or 5 times a week, you only need a pea sized amount.

I would recommend starting with the lower strength and working up slowly. You do have to pay delivery charges of about 20 euro, but overall I would say it works out cheaper than the subscription services. Although you don't get the add ons with other ingredients like niacinamide, hydraquinone etc.

One time when the package didn't get through customs they refunded me the cost of the product once it was returned to them, but I didn't get delivery charges refunded unfortunately. You will get emailed out a tracking link, but it does take a few weeks for delivery. The only thing is, I'm not sure if delivery to the UK would have extra customs charges. I get it delivered to Ireland with no problems, but I usually only buy 3 or 4 tubes at a time to sort of go under the radar.

I used it for nearly a year and noticed absolutely no difference at all, (unless you count the crop of angry, itchy red spots that suddenly appeared along my jawline just before I discontinued using it!). So not a fan. By contrast, I've been using some retinol from Drunk Elephant that DD persuaded me to try and have been pleasantly surprised with the results - noticeably smoother and better texture to my skin.

I’ve just ordered today for the first time. I’ve been following the reviews for a while but am actually seeing some great results in people I know so decided to take the plunge.

@brummyadele91 you can always find a referral code on the referrals board. I will link below as referral links / codes within threads often get deleted.

@Nowanextraone - it's this one, but I bought the smaller size, (10ml), to start with. I got it in Sephora.

Late to the party, but my honest review is the products are good, although I find the derms a little abrupt.

It’s worth it for me as it has made massive improvement to my skin. I do have a referral code, gets you first and fifth doses for £3.50 and £10 off for me. https://www.skinandme.com/?promocode=MARIANNF53DV

Hi, I've just tried completing the order for skin and me. Quick question before I complete...I see my daily doser but can't see what it will be. Does it have Tret in it? How much will it be? Will wait for more explanations from you lovely ladies x

tryingsomethingnew · 08/04/2024 21:18

One more question, has anyone used skin and me products but also been on antibiotics from GP? My beautician told me I couldn't use both? Any ideas?

Bomblette · 15/04/2024 09:00

Hi @tryingsomethingnew sorry for the late response, I’ve only just seen this. Your prescription will depend on what they’ve actually decided works for your skin. Once you’ve placed an order, you should see what you’re getting in your treatment plan on the website. I’d imagine unless you have any underlying skin conditions like rosacea it would probably include tret. I’m not sure regards antibiotics, but you can message the derms and they’ll tell you. It’s not a thing I’ve heard before though.
