Any current recommendations for clothes to buy from M and S? Links if possible would be great!

I'm after one of their zip front sports bras.

shockeditellyou · 27/01/2024 18:07

Merino wool jumpers, jeans and their thermals. Also Good Move leggings.

Purplecatshopaholic · 27/01/2024 18:15

I just got their New In email. There’s a lovely looking denim midi skirt, and denim jumpsuit that I like the look of.

mynameiscalypso · 27/01/2024 18:25

I was quite uninspired by their new stuff (although I can always convince myself I need a new jumper) but like a PP I was quite tempted by the denim midi skirt. So many I've seen recently have a stupidly high split up the front and nobody needs to see that much of my legs.

Extra warm jeggings. But maybe size down, the 12 is loose on me, normally get a 12 there.

Their bralettes for larger busts.

Has anyone bought their cashmere?

HeatGen Light vests and long sleeved tops

I ordered some of their £25 tapered chinos today. I saw them on store previously, and thought they looked good.

I bought one of their cashmere jumpers today, but from a charity shop 😄 - it feels so soft and light.

GeneCity · 27/01/2024 22:02

Oh, it's the current Autograph round necked one in medium navy. It does seem really nice.

My relative buys their cashmere and I get it second hand when she is bored with it. It's been really great so far, lasts longer than the 1st hand cashmere I had from John Lewis. None of my m and s stuff has ever worn out yet.

Obviously it's as tasty to moths as it is soft and lovely to humans so you do have to fully commit to moth balls.

GellerYeller · 27/01/2024 22:05

Another vote for HeatGen. Although I wish they wouldn’t insist on putting the tops in double packs.

MissyB1 · 27/01/2024 22:11

Yes to Heatgen and goodmove exercise gear. I love their Sienna jeans as well.

Merrilydancing · 27/01/2024 22:12

I bought a beautiful bright pink cashmere jumper from this seasons collection and it is so soft, totally love it.

GlitteringUnicorn · 27/01/2024 22:37

Yes- I have about 20 pieces of their cashmere- cardigans and jumpers. I buy about 3 things a year. All have lasted very well and I wear a hem regularly in colder months for office and casual- so they have been a good investment. I have gone for very classic things though in neutrals, blacks and blues. I do have 2 things in a brighter pink which suit my own colouring. I hand wash and they come out fine. I do have an electric defuzz-er which I do run over them from time to time but less so than other cashmere (looking at you JL and Uniqlo!)
I do put all my cashmere in vacuum packs over the summer and also stick the packs in a chest freezer for 48 hours- maybe I'm bonkers but no moths yet...

mynameiscalypso · 27/01/2024 22:40

I think their cashmere is pretty good for the price point - it's definitely better than other equivalents (eg John Lewis) and they often have a bit more of an interesting range.

They're amazing, I have it in 4 colours. Won't wear anything else now!

saltnvini · 28/01/2024 08:52

Pants of your choice

WhereAreWeNow · 28/01/2024 22:18

Do you mean you wear it for every day non-sports stuff @BellyDancer124 ?
It was v comfy but also uplifting when I tried it on so I was wondering if I could wear it for everyday wear.

RosesAndHellebores · 28/01/2024 22:31

I tried on a textured cream car coat yesterday. It has 5* reviews. I wish I'd bought it and don't know why I didn't. It would have been £79 well spent. There were also some nicely cut denim trousers rather than jeans with their more tailored stuff. I think they would be good too.

Any chance we can persuade them to do a decent quality dressing gown that isn't fleece and some good quality pur cotton Jersey nighties with a decent neckline in any colour but white or navy.

Loloj · 28/01/2024 22:35

Wide leg cord trousers

I have a cashmere hoodie and a cashmere v-neck both from Marks and they've held up really well. Very soft to the touch and good value for money imo.

Yes, but all from charity shops. They've washed well and are lovely and soft, some nice colours too like bright pink.

Oh sorry no I only wear to the gym! But mine are very snug due to high impact. If I sized up I think I'd be able to wear them for everyday, not a bad idea really as they really lift me up 🤣
