Last summer I had what I now think was a mid life freak out, and decided to have my hair cut from bra-strap length to short. I envisaged a cool, funky pixie cut but ended up with Playmobil hair and I look and feel ten years older. It's a pita to get into a decent style every day and basically it was a huge mistake and I'm trying to grow it back. But weirdly, although when I had long hair I used to need a trim every six weeks, now it appears to have almost stopped growing. It's hardly grown past my ears in the last six months and doesn't seem to be as thick anymore. So anyway, I'm wondering if anybody has any words of wisdom or hope? Is this just something that happens as you get into the menopause and I didn't notice before because of all my hair (sob!). Do supplements help? I'm even considering extensions but I'm worried they will cock up my remaining hair even more...
