Anyone still buying Hush??

I remember a few years ago when we had a constant thread re Hush clothing - thinking Nana Jumper, Stella star jumper, star jeans, Tara dress.

I stopped buying Hush to some extent when it subsequently arrived in our local John Lewis as loved wearing clothes that everyone else wasn’t iykwim.

But despite this I still find most of my older and better wearing clothes especially pj’s are from Hush, in fact this evening I’m wearing and older pair of PJ’s with a grey hush Nana jumper ( very well worn) on top.

From their sale this last week I’ve actually ordered some Hoff trainers , a velvet jumpsuit, a cardigan and chunky knit jumper. All of which I’ve kept , which has to some extent made me fall in love with Hush clothing all over again.

Does anyone else still buy much from them?

I used to love Hush and had the Tara dress and a star jumper.
Haven't bought from them for a few seasons despite having more money than I used to.
I was a bit confused by one of their recent instagram post that had a model wearing her jumper upside down.
They seem to have lost their way

I went off them during one of the threads. I mean it’s the same stuff year on year out and it’s quite scruffy after afew washes. However, I was looking for a going out coat the other day and I bought their navy teddy coat which was a bargain and had 70 percent off. It’s is lovely but nothing else caught my eye.

@ThePoshUns - I think you’ve summed it up nicely by saying they seemed to have lost their way.
In the early days everything was fairly predictable which to some may have been boring but at least you knew what you were getting and could rely on it.

I wasn’t impressed with the quality or sizing of the last couple of items I bought (the last one was a sweater which was somehow just wrong the way it hung/fitted).

I also WFH now and have an active / sporty lifestyle so shop more at Passenger now or Acai for slightly more outdoorsy / active focussed stuff

I was late to the party but have bought a lovely pink jumper and a dress in the sale recently which were both lovely. I've given up on their trousers and joggers as they are always too short in the leg for anyone over 5'5". I do wear the things I've bought from there a lot though- mainly sweatshirts, dresses, socks, tights and jackets.

I've just brought the black hush tulle skirt it's a new style for me, so I need to see what I have to go with it to see if it's a keeper, the reviews are good, its half price in john lewis sale, still full price on the next site so if you want one don't buy it from them.

ThePoshUns · 08/02/2024 08:10

The new collection looks nice but they are using really thin models which I'm not keen on.

RedChester · 08/02/2024 08:25

I used to buy a bit but then realised everyone else was wearing joggers and star jumpers and it put me right off. Whoever said it was GAP for mums is correct.

I’ve sold loads on vinted, and kept the some old loungewear bits.

Not bought from them for ages but recently bought a lovely metallic top in the sale which was both interesting and well made.

I live in their Aime joggers when wfh, but haven't bought anything else from them for years. I used to love the sample sales they did in Chelsea town hall, I got some amazing bargains there

I buy the Avalon t shirts as they're 100% cotton & a good shape. They're now unfortunately discontinued & I'm currently buying up the stock of seconds on eBay.

Having spent hours traipsing around the shops at the weekend looking for jeans, I came home and ordered the Agnes jeans. Very pleased , good fit ( if slightly long) but I'm only 5'4", and seem to be a nice quality denim. pricier than I wanted but with 10% discount not quite so bad.
I have couple of their other jeans from a few years ago and in fairness they have washed and worn very well, so lets hope these are the same.

I have the wide leg jeans with the tie waist - the slouchy ones. I really love them. So comfy! I love them so much I will probably buy another pair if there is a discount kicking around. I also bought the denim dress with the v-neck. Really love that too. Sometimes hush really nail things. Some of their dresses are so shapeless though. I am not sure if its the models. They are so young and so thin. Wish they would start putting clothes on real people [ bust, boobs and bum]
