Help! Where to find an evening dress for a teenager?

DD (16) has a school dance next week and has typically left it to the last minute to get something to wear. She went shopping with a friend at the weekend but couldn’t find anything she liked - but I don’t think they were very systematic in going round the shops. So she and I are going shopping on Saturday and really need to find something.

Any suggestions about shops we should target? Maybe H&M? Where do young people shop there days (DD and her friends not that into shopping so she doesn’t have many ideas). It seems like most of the girls are wearing long dresses. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Budget? What sort of style?

Budget is flexible - ideally not over £50 but if it’s really great and could be worn again we could stretch. I think she’d consider lots of styles - she really doesn’t have a clear idea - but preferring long or at least knee length.

ASOS or similar online store that offers fast delivery. Jan can be an odd time in clothes shop and they may not have what she wants.
