I haven't had any offers for around a month. Has anyone else?

OP posts:
dailyduel · 22/01/2024 18:11

I’ve got 15% off a few sections. Jackets was one as I have ordered. I think that was the tail end of last week.

I think I also got 15% off shoes and tights. There was definitely 3 or 4 things.

WhereAreWeNow · 22/01/2024 18:14

Hmm, I've been checking regularly and nothing. How do they decide who gets which offers and when?

OP posts:
HDready · 22/01/2024 18:15

I got 20% kids tights which specifically excludes school tights which is rather irritating!

mrsbyers · 22/01/2024 18:16

Me and my husband got a load of offer through at the weekend

WhereAreWeNow · 22/01/2024 18:17

Now I'm feeling really left out 😂

That is annoying @HDready

TheFlis · 22/01/2024 18:17

I got an influx of offers last week, including various food discounts and quite a few 20% off different clothes categories (jeans / socks and tights / footwear / tops).

Someaddedsugar · 22/01/2024 18:20

I've had nothing @WhereAreWeNow - I was wondering when they'd restart too

MessyRaptor · 22/01/2024 18:23

I only ever seem to get impractical in store food offers. I only really get a sandwich once a week or so when in the office. I don't fancy carrying a leg of lamb home on the train.

Haven't had any good ones for ages.

OhItsOnlyCynthia · 22/01/2024 18:24

I got a few clothing ones last week, and 4 or 5 food ones this week.

WhereAreWeNow · 22/01/2024 19:16

Glad it's not just me @Someaddedsugar
It's weird because I actually shop in M&S a fair bit. I'd assumed that there was an element of 'reward' with Sparks - the more you spend, the more offers you get. But I guess it doesn't work like that. I'd love to know what the logic is for how rewards are allocated. It seems totally random.

OP posts:
FeltCarrot · 22/01/2024 19:18

Do you all scan your sparks card when you shop? I ever have, but have had quite a few 15-20% off rewards this week and a few 50p-£1 off food last week.

Tarkan · 22/01/2024 19:21

I got a bunch of clothes ones the other day then yesterday some food/grocery ones. They're my first ones for a while apart from the daily Christmas ones which I didn't use because mine were all crap.

Stringagal · 22/01/2024 19:23

Blimey, just checked mine and have 14 offers. Mostly 15-20% off clothes / towels, / bedding / make up, plus a few food ones for things I wouldn’t buy. £1 off a plant though, might buy a small one.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/01/2024 19:25

@WhereAreWeNow how did you fare in the Christmas 12 day Advent ?
It was so unmemorable , most were things I wouldn't buy and the only Freebie I won was a net of chocolate coins (that was out of date before I got along to M&S)

My offers at the moment-
free bread
Money off salad, bakery, chocolate , ready meals, meat

WhereAreWeNow · 22/01/2024 19:35

Pretty badly @70isaLimitNotaTarget
I think I might have used one of them but they were mainly rubbish.
I don't have the app. It's just occurred to me that you get better offers if you download the app.

PonyPatter44 · 22/01/2024 19:36

Honestly, the Sparks algorithm is MORONIC. I bought a new coat and a pair of jeans last week. Checked Sparks today - as predicted, there are offers for 20% off women's coats and 20% off jeans. I have already bought them, why would i go back and buy more? Or, do they want me to return the items i jsut bought and go and re-buy them using the discount, because that seems like a sensible course of action!

Someaddedsugar · 22/01/2024 19:38

I 'won' one of the bottles of rum in the raffle at the end of the advent and have spent an absolute fortune on lights at M&S in the last 6 months but still nothing. I bought some flowers at the weekend and expected a similar scenario to you @70isaLimitNotaTarget but nope, absolutely nothing!

WhereAreWeNow · 22/01/2024 19:40

@PonyPatter44 I would definitely return in store and repurchase with the discount! It is moronic though. There just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

You need to download the app and scan your sparks when shopping in-store. I get discount on clothes, food and occasional free treats like fruit, pastries, chocolate etc

Isabelle70 · 22/01/2024 20:36

I have loads of discounts for a change, jeans, bras, bedding and jumpers. Perfect timing as I was looking for a new jumper and might need to but a couple …

Tbry24 · 22/01/2024 20:39

I’ve logged in and checked….nothing. I’ve still never ever had anything! I queried it with my last food shop in store as they checked in case I had any offers and said some customers never get any 🤷‍♀️ I’ve spent a lot of money with them in last few years so tending to shop elsewhere now because of this.

Tbry24 · 22/01/2024 20:40

And yes I have the app.

Get one of their potted roses in the white pot, think they are £6. Ours is beautiful and actually grown a lot in 2 weeks. We are hoping to transfer it to the garden in the warmer weather it's that nice 😁.

WhereAreWeNow · 22/01/2024 20:44

@Isabelle70 I've got a bra and some jeans in my basket but I'm holding out for a Sparks deal!

OP posts:
WhereAreWeNow · 22/01/2024 20:45

@Tbry24 that's terrible that you've never had an offer. I would probably email customer services about that.
