What to wear!

Help!

I’m going out for my husbands friends 40th birthday drinks. It involves going to London and a bit of a pub crawl. Starts late afternoon, will finish late at night. What do I wear?? I want to be comfy but look nice. It’s my first proper ‘out’ since I had my baby 11 months ago.

I’m nearly 40, 5ft 10 and size 16.

It's that awkward not to dressy/ not scruffy thing also not too try hard or like I'm going to work.

Assuming in the next few weeks with cooler weather I'd wear a plain dh dress, tights and boots and nice coat

I get really hot so a jumper dress wouldn't work for me but might for you

Or Jean and a nice top?

It’s London so anything goes, my best advice is to err in the side of underdressed and to wear flats.

I think your wide legged jeans would be perfect. Check the weather report prior to going to decide on coat. A nice shirt and waistcoat or a merino wool jumper would be perfect for underneath. Flat shoes or boots.
