Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to try a face Oil for my skin. My skin is very dry and I'm suffering from acne so thought I would give it a go.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

Thank you

Aesop brand. I like the fabulous face oil. I have dry skin that is very easily upset when it gets spotty and red.

My dil got me Emma Hardie for Christmas. I’d never used this brand before and it’s been a revelation. It feels beautiful on and makes my skin feel very supple-lovely in Winter with the cold and central heating. In the past I’d used a Kiehls one and thought it a bit meh.

By Sarah London Hero Oil. Lightweight and gentle, but very nourishing. It's worked wonders on my dehydrated, spot prone skin.

I have been using cetraban overnight ointment and it's worked wonders. It isn't an oil but it's very oily on the skin.

I like the Liz Earle one. Sinks in fast.

Grapeseed oil is the most suitable for acne prone skin, then it's jojoba. You can buy a plain bottle from Holland & Barret, Wholefoods or even Boots maybe. It's usually found next to essential oils and should cost more then £10 and will last for ages

If you have acne and have dry skin and acne you likely need to start using an exfoliate or up the strength of usage of one

Boots (botanics) do several about £10 a bottle - I got a set of four for Christmas and I like them all. Not that keen on the No 7 one though. The ordinary do one as well

I use a serum, then cream and the oil just seals all those goodies in, so I don't see the need for a fancy one. I have tried elemis and a clarins one and apart from the scent, I didn't notice any difference apart from the £££.

I love a cheap rose oil or the ellipsis labs squalane oil. As @dollymixedup says it's just a way to lock in your other skin products.

Trilogy or Pai Rosehip oil
