Sorry!

My daughter is stuck in her uni house with a broken toe and "freezing to death" <drama> and so I'm sending some thermals. I'm not in the UK so am online.

She's 5ft 5, and a Small/short size 6/8 almost everywhere.

Do you reckon I'm ok with Uniqlo small?

I'm a 12 top and Uniqlo thinks I need a marquee and shouldn't actually leave the house I'm such a massive lump...love their t shirts but am an XXL. 😳

You don’t need to guess they have the best size guide with chest width of all tops

As already mentioned, check the size chart against the clothing you want to choose, as they give the actual measurements for the garments, which I wish other companies did! Also check the comments, as very helpful on their site.

I'm a size 10/12 and wear a M in heattech. I find the heattech leggings a bit baggy in a M but I'm short so that might be why.

My DD is size 6/8 and wears a S. The XS size tends to be shorter for some reason so too short for DD (she's taller than me).

I would say at a size 6/8 your DD would be fine with an S.

Thanks all!

I really recommend the ultra warm heattech by the way, its all lovely and fleecy inside, and it's the only thing keeping me warm at the moment.

I’m a size 10/12 on top and recently bought some heattech tops in a small and they all fit fine. I find Uniqlo’s sizing quite generous!

Excellent! That was going to be next question, how warm are they compared to other thermally wotsits!

They'll certainly fit, may even be too big. I'm 8-10 same height and wear small.

I was size 12 and brought medium. Most of them still fit now I’m size 14 but they are a bit tighter. I find the ultra-warm ones too much for the UK and personally would go for the mid level ones (can’t remember what it’s called).
