Used dermstics for the first time last night and have a swollen face this morning...

Is this normal?? I used a clinique chubby stick for the first time yesterday too and noticed that my lips felt very sore towards the evening. I thought they were just dry but I realised they were a bit swollen too so I think I might have been slightly allergic to it.

I then used my tret/niacinamide cream for the first time last night too and put soke weleda skin food over the top and I'm pretty sure my whole face is a bit puffy. I usually have more hollow under my cheek bones and my eyelids look very slightly swollen (even though I didn't put it near my eyes). Could this all be a reaction to the chubby stick or is it normal to be puffy after using tret? If this is going to be a long lasting effect I won't want to use it anymore because I've lost definition in my face!

Title is supposed to say Dermatica but I can't edit it...

I'd stop using all of it and look at the ingredients for what it could be you've had a reaction to. Don't use anything new on your face until the swelling has gone. You need to work out what you are allergic to - and it could be something you've happily been using for a while - and not use it again.

I can feel that the swelling is subsiding now apart from my lips. I had a lie in this morning which is very unusual for me so perhaps it gave me a puffy face? I sometimes feel a bit like that. So frustrating. This is supposed to be the magic cream which transforms my face!

Is that the kind of transformation you want though?

Definitely not! I was thinking a younger version of myself, not an inflated one.
